Scissors is one of those desk items that most people don't think twice about. So, they either have the 70's retro 16oz black and chrome Bates Motel surplus issue, or a semi-disposable one out of the $5 bulk pack from the office supply cabinet.

For those who appreciate the finer Grey Poupons in life, there's this iSlice that looks too good to be seen cutting out web printed coupons or Dilbert strips. What's so cool about it?
- It's all precision seamless steel. Sorta reminds me of one piece billet wheels.
- It's flat and thin. Actually fits in a leather portfolio (or a really hip school kid's pencil case).
- Right or left hand, same-o same-o.
- Japanese steel. Hey, they gave us samurai swords and the Ginsu knife.
- It's a conversation piece when just sitting on your desk.

Well worth it. Just can't let anyone borrow it (but they can admire and even hold it).

I didn't buy this for myself, so I cannot comment on the functionality but is it too much to expect a pair of scissors to work? Probably not. I assume the recipient of this gift loves it. The packaging is decent and the product is great for anyone who loves stainless steel (looking) everything. I wish I had a pair myself but the price scared me away from getting something like that for myself. Maybe one day I'll splurge. In the meantime, I'm glad I got this for my uncle who smiled right away when he opened my Christmas present last year. No one expects to receive scissors for a holiday gift. For high end stuff like this, it's okay. Buy it, but don't expect your wife to say it was good use of your hard earned money.

I like the desing but I stopped using it because it is very easy to pinch fingers. Don't buy it if you want something useful.

these are wonderful to begin with… stainless steel, sleek, they cut well (the whole purpose!) etc, but gosh darn they are PAINFUL!!!

first, the holes are fairly small, so if you've got thick fingers or man-sized hands they're just impossible to feel comfortable.

they're also metal, so not as comfortable as plastic handled ones.

worst, though - if you're not careful, they pinch HARD on the padding just below your thumb. i've been using scissors all of my life - as most of us have! - and have never experienced the bite that these scissors do. both my husband and i have experienced it on multiple occasions. these are not inexpensive. that said, we will be giving them away.

The scissors are cool but not overly well made. Quality is just in line with their price in terms of finishing. They cut very well though :-)
