This new 6 Liter Touchless Trashcan TX model is a personal trash container. With its compact design, it can fit almost any tight space such as under office table, inside kitchen sink cabinet, bathroom, bedroom, and kid's room. It uses the same sensor technology in the lager NX and SX models. As your hand or debris enter the zone 6 inches from the infrared sensor on top of the trash can, the lid will automatically open. The lid will remain open if debris or hand is within the 6 inch range of the infrared sensor. 3 seconds after your hand moves away from the lid it closes automatically. At top front of the lid there are open and close buttons for manual operation, and there is a on/off power switch on the back of the trash can. Includes an inner bucket. Power lasts up to one year on 4 AA size batteries (not included). The Benefits: This 100% touch-free trashcan creates a germ free, odor free, automated environment. It keeps your hands clean while you are cooking or playing with your children. It also helps prevent contamination, which reduces the threat of certain illnesses and infections. The lid design seals in odors so you can breath easier. In addition, the Touchless Trashcan could outlast most step-on and hand-touch cans since if you don't touch it, you can't break it! Compost Bin,

I had been looking for a compost pail to replace the antique one I had in the sink for a very long time. I did not like any of the new versions with charcoal features or lids that did not shut tight so odors escaped. I have the itouchless trash can in my kithen and this led me to look in a new direction for a compost bin. I found this 1 gallon bin and it is perfect. I keep it under the sink (so now I have a full sink back - bonus). This pail has a plastic container with a handle that sits inside the stainless bin. The lid stays open just long enough to put the scraps in and once the lid shuts no odors escape. I love it and think it should be marketed as an under the sink compost bin.

I'm a germophobe, and got this little trashcan last year, to have it sitting on the counter by the kitchen sink so that I can throw small things away without having to touch a trash bin. I'm not too fond of the huge trashcans that get smelly and take up space in the kitchen, so I much prefer this little one that we don't have to touch and that we just empty regularly. The inner bucket is the perfect size for reusing supermarket bags as trash bags also!
It's wonderful for small trash, fruit peels, eggshells, the morning's coffee beans and all sorts of little dirt I have while cooking etc. It can fit quite a lot of trash and it doesn't take much space, and so far it's worked just fine. After quite a while it started getting some trouble closing once it opened and I worried that it might be broken, but it turned out it was just the batteries running out. Once I changed them (which is as easy and quick as changing the trash bag by the way) the little trashcan went right back to being a wonderful help in my kitchen. And considering I've only had to change the batteries once a year so far, it's really not bad on the energy consumption! :) (I assume how often you open it per day would change the speed at which it depletes the batteries, but still, only having to change them every several months is great.) I hope it will live a long life, but if it broke tomorrow I'd have to buy a new one right away, they're really excellent.

This product works much like the other iTouchless systems. Keeps everything sanitary and for this size, works especially great in the bathroom where it is for me. One disappointment was the lack of the invaluable ring which holds the bags in place in the larger iTouchless garbage cans. This keeps the bag from slipping off and takes away the cumbersome task of having to keep the bag secured (hopefully!) by hoping there's just enough space between the outer can and the inner container to hold it in place. The ring was a simple yet effective solution which this model does not have.
