Never wrote a reveiw before. I received these as a gift for my birthday and ended up giving a few sets out at Christmas. I love these salt and pepper grinders, and even more I LOVE THE LIGHT! It sounds silly but the light is great! Get a set... you'll see what I mean!

I have 2 now and they both work great! They're a great value for the price!

This item was exactly what we wanted. It's functional, easy to keep clean and looks nice on the dinner table.

purchased 2 of these mills for salt and pepper. it always 'bogged down' with peppercorns, but handled the sea salt with no problems. the salt grinder lasted 6 months before the PLASTIC gear that rotates the square metal shaft stripped out. and the grinder itself is plastic.

The unit works but it is not very powerful so that ground salt came out slowly. We used it to grind rock sea salt. It is a little disappointing.

I bought this item few months ago, was very happy with it, it worked great. However, I think the teeth got worn out, it keeps jamming unless I open it all the way and big pieces start falling. I sent the manufacturer an email to see if they can help with any thing, and they responded this is how it works and since the warranty is only 30 days, they cannot do anything!!! I guess they have an easy life making quick money, they don't feel responsible past 30 days, so they can make products that will only last a short term....nice business!!!! I will never buy this brand again!.

Bought to of these- one for sea salt and one for peppercorn about 9-12 months ago. I do not cook that often (or therefore need to grind salt or pepper) but maybe 3-4 times a month. Both seemed to work fine until yesterday (July 4 2011) when I tried to open the salt mill to replace the salt- then suddenly the black plastic inner housing just fell apart- the plastic simply crumbling around. No amount of superglue could save it.

Do not know about other brands to compare to, but the idea is nice but the Chinese quality is terrible

I orded two pepper mills and returned one as it didn't operate. The second I used for OXO Good Grips Pepper Grinder

one day and now it isn't operating. So my rate would be a - Thank you Judi

I also bought two at Bed Bath and Beyond. One as a gift the other for me. Maybe this thing works for salt (have not tried salt)but if you want a pepper mill SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Motor can NOT handle peppercorns.

I will be returning this junk.

This product works great as a salt mill...but needs good batteries for the peppercorns. I bought generic brand batteries and it would not grind them and I would have to empty out the peppercorns get the blocked ones out and put it all back in. Overall I like the product, but would by nicer ones if I was to do it again.
