Product Description

The iTwin is a revolutionary USB device that allows users to access files remotely. iTwin allows you to securely access your entire hard drive. It's as if you are carrying an access-key to all your files in a device that fits in the palm of your hand. And unlike portable storage, iTwin lets your data stay put safely at home. iTwin is plug and play. Plug one half into an online computer and the other half into any other online computer and you are connected! View, copy, edit, and upload files to your computer. Data in transit is protected by robust AES 256 encryption. If you lose one half of iTwin, you can remotely disable that half. Your data resides on your computer not on someone else's cloud server. iTwin works with Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows 7, both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. It uses the familiar Windows Explorer, with drag'n'drop functionality. There's nothing to learn and nothing to configure.

I usually take my laptop with me while traveling or to work out a local coffee shop to "change the scenery". I needed a file that was on my business work desktop so I simply used the itwin to find my report on my work computer and simply transferred it over to my laptop so I could work on it. Very easy! I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this because I travel alot and wanted to keep access to files on my home PC. Although I have a server on my home network I'm not comfortable opening up internet access to it. Not a technical issue, just seems like overkill for what I need.

The iTwin solved the problem with a simple plug and play device that was super easy to install. My only negative comment would be that the device does not currently support operating systems other than Windows. Not a big deal, but I do hope they offer an upgrade path to OSx, Android or WebOS in the future.

Great idea, and once the bugs are out I may try it again, but for now it simply dosen't work on win7 computers.
