This video is me competing at the 2013 United States Police & Fire Championships shooting a Police Pistol Action course. I'm no where near the best but this is what I use the glasses for so I thought I would share this video. You can see the quality is super clear and the sound is perfect. They are comfortable and fit like a glove. When you watch the video, I am running and turning corners and you can see how stable the glasses are.

I'm rewriting this review with updated information and a good indoor and outdoor demo video uploaded for your evaluation. Be aware the videos will look a little better on your own computer or uploaded to Youtube. These glasses are very easy to use by holding the side button down for 2 seconds to begin recording. A green LED indicates they are recording and a single momentary press stops them. They connect to a Mac or PC USB port and the AVI files can be copied off the glasses or accessed like any USB thumb drive. The software does not seem to work but luckily there is no need for it. I tried to sync the time of the PC with the glasses and show a time stamp on the video but that feature seems very flakey so I abandoned it. These glasses also have the extra red, white, yellow audio-video composite cables so you can view your videos on any television or VCR without the need for a computer. For some reason my first pair started having a problem with blue-green distortion on the videos and I could not seem to reset the glasses to fix the problem. So with Amazon Prime no questions refund policy I chose to send them back. As you'll see I eventually ordered another pair.

I then purchased a high end $300 pair of Pivothead 1080 HD glasses which have even better video quality but no wide angle lens. At the time I didn't realize what a deal breaker this would be. Unless you hold your head perfectly vertical the Pivotheads video more of the ground in front of you than the action in front of you. So for shooting sports they just did not work for me. The lenses are not wide angle and the battery life and complexity of the product was more confusing. I also tried the Walsoon and iCAM brands but they have their own issues with indoor recording quality and strange video warping and distortion.

I bought this lenses from Amazon being them open box and slightly used. They where fine, only that replacement glasses where unusable because they where like ground glass. The design is very nice, very well finished, and very comfortable.
Pros:
Design and finish is very good.
Wide angle helps to catch everything you can see.
One button start - stop with a LED on when recording is very simple and nice.
Better than other cheap options available in quality of glasses and camera.
720 quality video.

Cons:
Very expensive compared to other cheaper options.
Low light condition renders a lot of noise on image, even cloudy days can produce noise. The best results are on bright sunny days. Iphone 4 camera for example is much better at this.
Movies format is AVI. If you want to edit it with iMovie for example you'll have to convert it to MP4 or other format before editing and then back to avi if you want to post it on You Tube.
Only has internal memory. Can't use memory SD cards.

Overall I'll say is a nice gadget, but I think it should improve, and also be cheaper ($80-90 max). You can't compare with a GoPro for example, not even with an iPhone 4. I use it for recording RC helicopters flying and they can't fly more than 5-6 minutes at a time so I can record 3 flights only. If you're travelling by car, bike, etc you will have to make short clips an download them to a laptop before going on

i really want it to work. I'm not looking for a reason to complain.
No tech support that I can find from ivue

battery charged.
push and hold record button to get blinking light.
walked around to test.
then push and hold to stop.
connect via usb to Windows 7. device recognized as drive H:
- get mostly zero length files
- some times Windows error dialog "do you want to scan and fix removable dish "H"
tried both options - worked once.

ejected by using USB Windows "safely remove hardware and eject media" between efforts
also tired just pulling the cable to disconnect w/o eject.
and powering glasses off before disconnecting cable.

used windows media play to view non-zero length files.
sometimes it played and sometimes it complained the format wasn't valid.

tried hard reset button, got same results.
tried reformatting glasses memory.
i think there might be a sequence that must be followed.. don't know what it is.
also tried the above on another Windows 7 PC.

running out of ideas on how to make this work.

Here's a video I made with this camera: http://youtu.be/iHXhdd9sBsY
I'm so glad that I got me a pair of these. I've been using other POV cameras for my trail running and rock climbing. But the bulky camera doesn't work well when jogging up a trail (too much camera shake) or when climbing a steep cliff (the camera always hits into the rock.). I've found that the IVUE Camera sunglasses allows me to record these two sports with none of those issues. I see a lot of application for this camera in other sports...like fishing. If you all of a sudden catch something, you just press the button near your temple and you're recording the catch right in front of you. No more losing the big one while you fumbled around with your camera. These really allow me to catch more candid shots right at the moment they are happening with a quick press of a button at my temple. I highly recommend them. [...]
