This cover is, for the most part, everything it advertises! The only thing I have yet to test is whether or not you can really peel the cover off and clean it (I seriously have my doubts about this). Instead I'll assume that a quality screen protector will avoid making you do such a thing.

How It Works
-----------------
The Moshi iVisor is basically a semi-raised cover with the adhesive on the outer panel (the colored part, either black or white). Because it does not adhere to the middle of the screen, and also because the adhesive edges are raised by 1mm or so, the matte screen never touches the glass. As a result, putting the iVisor on is simplified because you only need to cleanly place the edges; with the edges being colored your finger prints don't show up, dust/dirt that sticks can't be seen through the adhesive side, and it appears to go on clean without any worries!

Protection
-----------------
The iVisor is not meant to protect your screen from scratches or damage. If you worry about screen scratches and the like, a matte cover like this is far more prone to damage than the gorilla glass of the actual device. That doesn't mean that the cover is weak or easily scratched, but protection is simply not the purpose of this product.

Visual Quality
-----------------
Matte covers are textured, rather than smooth. That means that when light shines through a matte screen, it's going to cause a rainbow speckle effect due to the refraction of light. How bad the speckles are depends on how dense the pixels are; Luckily because the iPad 2's screen isn't as pixel dense as your iPhone 4, the speckles are hardly noticeable!

The matte cover also tones down the reflective nature of the screen. If you are using the iPad outside or near a window, you will have an easier time.

The one major disappointment with this cover stems from its biggest selling point. The raised portion of the screen causes blurriness at certain angles. Like we went over earlier, matte screens are textured, and from an angle you start to see the texturing which causes it to be less transparent. Using the iPad straight on doesn't cause any issues, but you lose the beauty of an IPS screen's incredible viewing range. We go from a 178-degree viewing angle to less than 40-degrees. This problem only occurs because the screen doesn't touch the glass, and gives light more room to diffuse (spread apart) instead of travelling straight through. I won't lie, this blurriness will definitely bother some of you, and it will always cause you to second guess a blurry image.

Keep in mind that a matte screen will also dull colors slightly, but in this case a little more than your typical monitor. Your mileage will vary.

Physical Quality
-------------------
The cover does a great job of preventing smudges, and is easily cleaned with a cloth and water. This is the cover's best feature, because finger oils tend to cake on smooth surfaces causing dirt and grime to cover your screen. This cover won't prevent the oils from making the screen a little shiny after heavy use, but it will definitely stop that caked on grease look.

You will also feel a new sense of depth when tapping on the iPad because of the raised cover. It hasn't bothered me much, but it's there.

Finger gliding is a give and take -- a matte screen isn't as slippery as a smooth one, but also a smooth screen has caked on oils and such that can cause issues on swipes anyways.

Overall
-------------------
While the viewing angles are absolutely terrible now, I still recommend this product. During normal use, there isn't a huge issue (though I constantly second guess the blurriness), and the cover reduces the amount of finger smudges on the screen. Nothing is worse to me than seeing the edges of finger grease while reading a comic or lending my iPad to someone else only to have it return looking dirty (through no actual fault of the user).

Also, a blurry viewing angle is a worthwhile trade for a slightly less reflective surface to read and browse the web. While I prefer a glossy monitor for more vibrant color, my monitor doesn't move and can be placed in the perfect spot in any room; the iPad is a travelling device and I want to enjoy it without having to consider where I sit/stand.

The matte screen's diffusion of light also causes my eyes less strain, because light is softer coming through it. Brightness needs to be turned up another few notches to compensate, but after you find that perfect balance, reading comics becomes a joy!

In the end, I give this item a 4/5 because there are some obvious drawbacks to having a raised surface regarding viewing angles, but the lack of air bubbles seals the deal -- those are annoying!

This screen cover is by far the easiest to install, best looking, and provides the strongest protection because of it's thickness. The only reason why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because stylus pens do not work very well with this screen as it's thicker than normal and the pens loose sensitivity. Other than that, highly recommend!

This is a great product and I purchased it in anticipation of receiving my iPad in the mail. It's a great product and I agree with all the positive reviews. This is, by far, the easiest screen protector to apply/install on your iPad. My only problem with it is that it takes away from the screen's clarity so you lose the amazing screen resolution that the new iPad has. I would imagine that you'll get this effect with any matte, no-smudge, anti-glare screen protector. I have always used anti-glare protectors on my iPhones and didn't think I would mind the trade-off on the iPad...I was wrong. I used a clear protector on my last iPad and am sitting here comparing the two and my old iPad looks ten times nicer. The contrast and colors are the largest difference...colors become dull and darks aren't as dark and the bright colors are not as bright on the New iPad with the iVisor. The iVisor makes the screen on the New iPad milky looking.

I am interested to see what the "updated" iVisor screen protector is like (posted on their website) and wonder if they did anything to improve the clarity and colors or if they simply re-packaged the old one since the screens on the old and new iPad are exactly the same size. Their website doesn't mention anything about improved resolution quality which makes me somewhat skeptical...

In conclusion: iVisor is consistently a great product...no air bubbles, easy to install, blah, blah, blah. However, you may want to think twice about this product if you purchased the New iPad specifically for the improved screen resolution. The reason I bought mine was 60% for the LTE speed, 30% for the improved resolution, and 10% for everything else...despite the low importance I placed on the screen resolution, I will still be buying another screen protector.

Bought this after reading a bunch of reviews of the different screen protection products available. While there's some loss of clarity, it's very minor and is worth it for the anti-glare and protection. Afterall, what good is a really clear screen with great graphics when you can't see it from all the glare? I've had no issues with loss of sensitivity on the touch screen. In fact, I liked it so much, I bought my dad one to put on his iPad and he likes it as well.

I was looking for a protective film cover after my iPad got cracked around the outer edge. Although I had already placed a piece of packing tape over the crack, to keep it from cracking further, I wanted to put something else over it and to protect the rest of the screen. I liked this one initially just because it has a colored border and I could cover up the crack from plain view. When I received it I wanted to apply it right away. It was very easy to apply, I even pulled it off and re-applied it a second time with no problem. I just got it so I haven't tried to wash it yet. This was a matte finish which is the only weird part now about using the iPad. Other than that it still responds well and swipes just as it promises. I would recommend this product.

It is pretty expensive, but spending $600 on a product needs to be well protected!. Easy to put on, took me a min. It feels a little thick at the home bottom, but you don't realize it anywhere else. I just bought the otterbox reflex hybrid. It does NOT interfere with the case. It was a bit tight to squeeze in but nothing wrong with it (I'd assume with other cases it would be fine as well). Fits fine, without any problems. Just bought another for xmas present, but the price changes within a day frequently buy a few dollars.

Very easy to apply with no air bubbles. The matt finish is not as bright as the unprotected screen, but the touch and feel are very good. If you are looking for screen protection with easy installation, I would recommend the iVisor.

I just received my second iPad 2 and wanted to put another iVisor on it because it worked so well on my other iPad. Strangely this won is a bit narrower and you do notice it sometimes when going through pages? Everything is the same except for a quarter inch on either side so the screen does not fully cover the entire glass surface? Still the best screen protector for my iPad I have ever used just not sure why they changes the size which is why I could only give it 4 stars.

This is one of the easiest screen protectors I've ever installed. The fit is one of the best I've ever used. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars, is the fact that it does take away from the screens image.
