This is great - a portable stand that will hold my Kindle at multiple viewing angles. I bought this stand for my IPhone, and was happy to see it has 2 width adjustments, and holds the Kindle when I am eating, or just want to be handsfree. It is lightweight and soft edged so I can toss it in the bag with my Kindle and not worry that it will scratch the screen or case.
Great little stand.

The perfect Office/Travel Companion,
This review is from: iZel Innovative Hands-free Stand for iPhone, iPod, Blackberry, Zune (Electronics)
On my last trip my neck got very sore from bending to watch my iTouch movie during a flight. So I decided to look for a solution and I stumbled across this little GEM!!!! I looked rather bulky in the product shots but said I'll take a chance and see.
When I received my iZel, I flipped out - this was the PERFECT companion for my iTouch. Then I realized that my Blackberry Storm also fit, perfectly. So now I have one stand competing for pleasure of hold my tech devices. Since I work from home, this is the perfect stand for my Blackberry. And when I travel it can hold either device in my hotel room, at the clients site, and on the plane. Since it folds flat it slips into my carry-on, next to my devices, perfectly. I am buying another one just to keep in my travel bag, so I never leave home without it.

What an awesome accessory! It fits easily into the pocket of my Bose headphone case so it's handy when I travel. I had downloaded a couple of videos to my IPod Touch and used the iZel to watch them on a recent airline flight. I like its adjustability to fit an iPod or smaller Blackberry with or without the protective cover. They make great gifts for my tech conscious family and I got a couple for a charity auction.

i just got this and was under the impression by looking at the pictures on here that it was made out of metal with rubber edges. I got it, and took it out, and its a flimsy light flat piece of plastic that you fold to 2 different shapes for your itouch. It might last me a long time, so i rated it 3 stars, but it really feels cheap. if your initial impression is that it's made out of metal or has any weight to it, it does not. very very light and flimsy.

Nice idea - Some serious design flaws,
By

Neat design...
1 - Made out of grippy rubber - essential to stop it slipping around during use. 2 - Adjustable angle for different situations. 3 - One design that allows Landscape and Portrait views - essential for the iPhone. Unfortunately... 1 - Because of the design, that grippy rubber only touches the desk on three small curved feet. This doesn't provide enough contact to stop it sliding with each button press. 2 - The height adjuster is very neat but it seems to be designed just for watching videos. Even at it's lowest setting, it's too vertical for typing. 3 - In Landscape, the feet curve up around the front of the phone so much they get in the way of the keyboard. I'm amazed how frequently design flaws like these get through the testing stage. The only way I could get this to be usable as a desk stand was to remove the height adjuster completely and CUT the curved part of the back foot off, making it flat. This solved the first two problems: The whole underside of the rubber support arms are now in contact with the desk, providing lots of grip and the angle is now suitable for typing. Summary: If you want a stand for watching movies, this one is great. If you want a stand that will hold the phone while you actually use it, be prepared to do some major surgery first.

I purchased this stand because apple no longer supplies docks with new iphones. This stand was cheaper than a dock and looked like a nice way to have landscape mode as well as portrait.
The stand itself is ok, it's made from one piece of plastic with some rubberized parts. When you take it out of the packaging, you basically fold it into into a device stand, which seemed cheap at first but isn't too bad. The problem for us iphone users is that if you use this to hold your phone, in portrait mode, while the power/sync cable is plugged in, the plug and wire stick out so far from the bottom of the phone that it hits the desk before the phone rests on the stand. It is _very_ unstable and will not sit straight. Too bad.

This is pretty neat. I am very picky about buying accessories for my toys/gadgets as there are alot of products out there.....I found nothing like this. It works, it's solid, and does not feel cheap. I am heading off to Maui next week and can't wait to use it on the plane with my iPod.

I bought this stand to use with the iPad, despite it being advertised for iPhone and smartphones. I am not disappointed. The stand folds flat and will fit anywhere in a bag. The height needs to be adjusted a bit so the iPad does not top over, but it will work beautifully. Needless to say, it's also great for any smartphone.

...so if you skip buying all the $4.99 & $9.99 alternatives before you buy this, it's a net savings. All those crappy stands will cost just as much after you find them inadequate. This stand is pretty much nirvana not just for iPod/Phone but for any PMP (I'm an insane collector who buys these things grey market from China). It packs flat, doesn't slide on airplane trays, you don't need pillows & ice buckets to achieve a decent viewing angle. And it looks damn sharp, and it's infinitely adjustable. Give the guys/girls who invented it credit. They built a better mousetrap. Just bite the bullet and do it, I've had mine for like 3 months already and there's no sign of a Chinese knock-off for $3 that can touch it. And probably won't be, as simple as it is, the manufacturing is actually quite expensive. Steel molds for small runs don't come cheap. It's a good value. And no, even tho it has rubber hinges you'll be onto your 79th favorite gadget ever before they show the slightest sign of fatigue.

I have to admit that when I first received it, I was more than a little miffed at having paid 25 bucks for so little. Once I got it out, however, and so saw how well it did its job and how sturdy its construction was, I was actually very impressed. It's very nicely adjustable for angle and width, and its solid yet malleable enough such that it would be nearly impossible to break. In the end, the manufacturer was able to do more with less, and while you might have been hoping for something that feels more... substantial, there's no denying that the product works very well.
