4.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good! October 4, 2013
By Heather

I've only had the Flex on my screen for a little while, but so far it already feels and looks better than any cheap plastic one. It's like it's barely there! It doesn't seem any thicker than the InvisibleShieldz or Bodyguardz protectors, but because it's glass, there is none of that horrible orange peel texture. It's as smooth as, well, glass, and the holes for the speaker and home button are very precise-- they are just big enough, with no extra cut out for the camera or sensor, which makes the screen protector look like it's part of the phone. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up to everyday use.

Installation was easy. I like the idea of using the hinge tape, I don't know why I never thought to do that before. I found the hinge tape stickers made it harder to see how well I was aligning the Flex with the screen, though, so I switched to plain old Scotch tape. It was pretty simple and straightforward. Once it's aligned, stick the tape on one side so it looks like a book cover, peel the plastic off the adhesive side, gently swing the cover back onto the screen, and press. It pretty much installs itself, and there's even a bit of wiggle room to make sure you get it exactly how you like it. Then just peel off the other protective plastic, and you're done!

The only complaint I have with the installation is that the microfiber cloth included in the package is terrible. Its job is to clean up lint and dust, and yet wiping the screen with this cloth left more lint behind than what I started with! And of course, some of it got under the screen protector, grr. It would be best if the company did what one of the other glass screen protector manufacturers does, which is include an alcohol wipe in the package. And a better microfiber cloth.

4.0 out of 5 stars Barely know it's there November 21, 2013

After doing a TON of research on tempered glass vs plastic vs Flex glass this is what I found.

Tempered glass (multiple brands):
Pros: Easy application, works great with S Pen, High level of protection
Cons: Edges often do not stick giving the lifted "bubble" look to the edges, occasionally arrive broken, randomly crack after
application, high price.

Plastic film (ex: Zagg, Bodyguardz, Amzer):
Pros: Easy application, extreme protection
Cons: Some are expensive, does not play great with S Pen (Grippy, and scuffs the film)

Flex glass:
Pros: Easy application, high level of protection, works great with S Pen, flexibility eliminates shipping breakage and stress
cracks during use, flexibility eliminates edge lift, very reasonable price ($16.99)
Cons: none yet.

I purchased the iloome Flex based on this information and am very pleased with the purchase so far (just applied to phone at the time of this review). Application was relatively easy and the hinge stickers that assist application were very helpful. I find that the dust remover stickers would also be helpful if reapplication of the glass was needed, but I didn't use them. After application the Flex glass is 99% invisible and would be completely if there was no "home" button that was cut out. Still even the edges around the home button and speaker have nearly disappeared into the phone's original glass. There is unfortunately one negative to the product which seems to be a manufacturing defect. On the top right corner of the Flex glass there are about 9 tiny, closely packed dots. Unless you are specifically inspecting the glass with the screen black they go unnoticed however being picky it simply bothers me that they are there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic - this one is a keeper! January 22, 2014
Color Name:HD Clear| Size Name:LG G2|Verified Purchase
I purchased the iLoome LG G2 ScreenMate Flex screen protector after countless hours of deliberation deciding which screen protector would protect my shiny new phone. I read on several forums that this screen protector was great, and so far, I completely agree!

I bought the "LG G2" variant, and I can directly compare against the Supershieldz screen protector here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EJ61FGO/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Additionally, I have used in my lifetime: Invisibleshield (Zagg), XO skins, and the Verizon-branded screen protectors. This one is definitely my favorite so far, taking installation effort, quality, and feel into account.

Notes:
Does not have individual cutout for the light sensor/camera/speaker.
Knock-on works perfectly fine with this installed.

PROS:
Installation: Installation was relatively painless. I will never say installation is easy for a screen protector, but it was much, much easier than a wet install (like XO skins or the invisible shield). iLoome includes what they call "hinges", which are essentially small stickers that you tape on the front of the screen protector, and wraps around to the back of the phone. This helps hold the protector in place while you align it meticulously. I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before, as in the past I've thrown away many a screen protector after mis-aligning it and cursing the cruel screen protector gods. iLoome also includes a "lint free cloth" and "dust removal tape".
As a previous reviewer says, the "lint-free cloth" isn't the best, but if you're anal like me the lint free cloth is only one of several steps. Additionally, the tape is just an ordinary sticker, it seems..
