I bought this net for a homemade soccer goal/pitching backstop. It's strong and a good value. I dyed it green to blend in with shrubs. For an inexpensive multi-use net in custom sizes, this is the one. Mark in NY

Be warned, do NOT use this net to stop golf balls unless you have good liability insurance. I contacted Florida Nautical and Nets and asked specifically, "Can I use this net to stop golf balls in my back yard `driving range'? "Absolutely" I was told, "we have sold thousands for that purpose, just do not secure the bottom of the net." I bought the net, hung it loosely as a `curtain' so there would be no tension, five shots into the `round' a ball disappeared and `exploded' into the house across the street. I thought I had actually missed the net. Three shots later another `machine gunned' into the neighbor's house, it sounded like a firecracker exploding! The balls go right through, `popping' the knots. I called the company and they explained, "We don't guarantee the net will work for golf because we do not know how you hung the net." I subsequently contacted other companies and they explained the net I bought has a `break strength' of 60 pounds...not nearly able to stop a golf ball at 100 miles per hour. Other companies' nets have `break strengths' around 300 pounds...WELL worth the extra expense.
