I bought this as a travel gift for a 24 year old. It has great sound, is very compact, flat, and light, fits a variety of iPods & phones, and is reasonably priced. It can operate on battery or line power. She loves it!

This little guy does all it's suppose to do and more I recently when to a birthday party the DJS equip went on the fritz Temporally. I had the Altec in the car, To the rescue this little guy to everyone's amazement held it's own until the DJ got his act together. Many people there took the model number .

Yes, the sound is deeper, richer and clearer than most iPod players out there. I appreciate that, and the fact that it's so easily transportable (no need to find a plug in) is a big big plus.
