First, the color of the collar is darker than shown. more of a dark deep purple.Second, when the collar gets wet, the leather dye bleeds into the animal's fur. I bought this for my cat, who's not adverse to going out in the rain. Whenever he gets wet, the collar bleeds and he has this reddish tinged "ruff" for about 4 days. Its only when he gets pretty soaked, not so much when its misting or damp out. going back to an undyed leather collar... the red ruff is kinda ridiculous looking. Other than the bleeding, the collar is well-constructed. nicely stitched and solid. |
