Normally I wear size 9 dress shoe, but I had to go up a full size (10) to get these to fit. I have a wider forefoot and felt that the area was too tight with the size 9 & 9.5. I think the shoe runs a bit narrow anyway. Love the elastic around the heel, makes sure the shoe stays put! Purple suede color is perfect for fall/winter and these are decently comfortable for flats. I wouldn't walk around the city all day in them, but for a party or casual Fridays, they're excellent!

I wear a 6.5 in most BCBG (which usually run a half size big) and a 7 in most other shoes--puma, adidas, franco, tommy, aigner--once in a while I wear a 7.5.

This was my first pair of Indigo or Clark shoes so I ordered the black leather in both a 7 and a 7.5 (6.5 wasn't avaliable). I honestly couldn't decide which size to keep! In the end I kept the 7.5 because I liked the way shoe fit around the ball of my foot, which is usually sore. If I had it to do over I think I would go with the 7 because I have quite a lot of room (1/2-3/4 inch) between my big toe and the top of the shoe in the 7.5. Still, the shoe doesn't slip or look too big because the elastic around the entire opening keeps it comfortably in place. Anyway, I would say the shoe runs true to size, and if you order a half size up I think you'll be fine too.

As far as comfort goes, these shoes have a lot more cushion/support than most flats I have seen, but they are not like eccos by any means (on a 1-10 scale I would rate an ecco a 9.5 and this shoe a 6.5).

The sole on this shoe has a couple layers which, beginning inside the shoe, are as follows:

thin (probably leather) liner inside the shoe--embroidered `indigo' logo
1/8" foam that lines the entire sole
1/16" flexible black plastic inside the shoe that thins as it approaches the toe, and disappears before the ball of the foot
1/16" a more durable pink foam-ish substance runs parallel to the black plastic
outsole:
foam 1/4" that thins as it approaches the toe, and disappears before the ball of the foot
rubber 1/4" across the entire shoe--thins to ~1/8" as it comes toward the toe

This shoe is a good purchase-- though it won't make sore feet feel better, it has enough cushion not to aggravate foot pain. I didn't notice an arch in this shoe, but I have a pretty high arch. Good luck!

This a cute shoe.I ordered the tomato suede ones in a size 7.They are a saturated orangey red.I normally wear a smaller size 6 1/2 in flats than my size 7 regular shoes, but ordered up because of the reviews.I should have ordered my normal size.While the 7s aren't too big to wear,I should have ordered my normal size 6 1/2.There is about 1/2-3/4 inch of extra space in the toe.I just ordered the copper leathers in a 6 1/2 and while Im sure they will fit a tad snug,these shoes are sure to give a some with wear.I think the reason why they rub the back of your foot like some have said is because people are ordering up a size giving your foot room to slide around.
Now I have fairly wide feet but I do NOT suggest going up more than a 1/2 size.Had I gone up to a 7 1/2,They would have been way too big.These shoes are shallow not narrow or small,so going up wont help that.Going up just gives you more room in the toe.Maybe taking out the insole will make the shoe deeper.
I like the elastic rim which kind of looks like ruffles.This is the best price on these shoes on the web and for this price,I plan to get a few more colors.Good buy.

I got a pair of the metallic white shoes. They are cute and casual; however, I am having to wear them around the house just to break them in. The first day I wore them I got blisters. I am hoping they start to feel more comfortable.

It was love at first sight with these babies but man oh man they run dangerously small. Originally I had ordered the pewter in size 8 and suffered, thinking they would stretch; nothing. I still haven't worn the black ones and now have 3 lone pairs just laying there. I ordered an 8-1/2 and they do not fit. Then I ordered a 9, still do not fit.

Pretty, pretty shoes but the sizing is just horrible. If interested, ask me, I have 3 pairs! lol

I was looking for a comfortable metallic flat, and this shoe fits the bill perfectly. They're not my first pair of Indigos, and they do have the same quality I've come to expect. They are very attractive, a neutral metallic, but also very comfortable. I love these shoes!

Ouch. Ouch ouch ouch. Terrible shoebite accompanies these shoes. Really ripped up my back heels. The shoes have a spandexy lining that snaps onto your skin. This keeps the shoe on, but causes the back to chafe like nobody's business. Breaking them in was a nightmare, but even after that, they would hurt after about 4 hours of walking in them (I bought them as cute walking shoes). Blisters, galore!

They are also kind of dorky looking. I had hoped they would be cuter.

However, despite being cream-colored, these shoes do not get easily dirty or discolored. They also held up well throughout my many months of international travel and MILES of sightseeing.

Once these shoes have been broken in they are so comfortable it feels as though you are walking on air. They are so flexible you can fold them up and put them in your purse. A great buy from Amazon!

These shoes do not have much wiggle-room, so you definitely want to order a size up. They are comfortable once they have been broken in (3-4 full days), but I would not recommend these as an 'everyday' shoe as they push your toes into a bit of a point.

They do cover "toe cleavage" as well as the joint of your big toe.

I have to agree with another reviewer that mentioned: "I think the reason why they [the shoes] rub the back of your foot like some have said is because people are ordering up a size giving your foot room to slide around." I also have "fairly wide feet" and "don't suggest going up more than a 1/2 size" from the norm. I found this information to be the most helpful of all the reviews, and so I repeat it here for other potential buyers who may also find it useful.

I'm usually a 5 when it comes to flats. Sometimes a 5 1/2. Heeding other reviewers, especially those who warned about this shoe running small, I decided to go with the 5 1/2 and I'm glad I did. It fits perfectly; one of the most comfortable flats I own. I'd been wanting red, comfortable (super cute) shoes for a while now and my wish was granted with these. I would recommend them. Although not for more than [...] bucks. (But maybe that's just me.)
