Nothing can be more intimate than this, Ham n Bandolim. I thought Carlo Aonzo was cool. But this is one or a few levels above. Ham's Bandolim has lot more bass and resonance. Thanks to the unique brazilian body and Ham's extra C strings to give a deeper tone to his music especially for a solo album like this. It doesn't matter you know jazz music well enough or not. As soon as you listen to this album, you'd understand what it's all about. If a picture worth a thousand words, then music would worth a million words. Get ready to ride with Ham. You would be a very special guest, coz he's literally sitting at your bedroom playing in front of you!

So what does one of the greatest mandolin players in the world do with his spare time when he's stuck in hotel rooms around the world? He connects a good mix and pre-amp to his Mac laptop and records some of his favorite pieces. Perfectly. Delightfully. "Intimo" is a good name--there's something very intimate about the sound of these pieces. Well worth having.
