If you want a player that'll give you way more than what you paid for, look no longer! Given the one set back is the company, "iRiver" which sounds like it might be a cheap Chinese ipod knock-off, iRiver is actually a very good company and has and continues to produce great mp3 players.

First off, the player looks great, and feels great. The spinney thing is basically divine inspiration. Menu navigation is intuitive. My one problem is they dont do as much with cover flow / album art as they do on say the ipod touch. But hey, its MUCH less expensive.

AWESOME screen. Just beautiful. Its AMOLED, which Ive heard is better than you're everyday mp3 screen. and its 3.3 inches! AMAZING! ... but wait, there's more... its also TOUCH SCREEN! woah... The touch screen is a little limited but its still very high quality and you CAN play flash games on this thing and use the touch screen + the other buttons on the device for controls.

What more to say... oh yeah, good file support and VERY good sound quality... pair it with a WIRELESS (it also supports bluetooth) pair of Motorola S305 and you're in business.

Text reader, works great! The Radio is ok, its not like Sansa clip quality but its ok. You can also record radio, AND voice. The interface for this is very easy to use. Oh, and its only 4gb, that was a bit of a bummer... but who cares? youre not paying hundreds of dollars.

In the end the iRiver is a GREAT little player. It used to cost over 200 dollars, but now at the price its at it cant be beat. Although its only 4 gb, thats still space for a LOT of games, videos, and songs. At the price its at it is the PERFECT Christmas / birthday gift. Get it, i promise you won't regret it!

Pros: Super compact for a medium sized video player (and v/light); awesome design and on-screen display style (though that's just my opinion); rockin battery life; UNEQUALED sound quality

Cons: FM receiver is weak - in some places, audio will cut out with the slightest movement; some on-screen functions (like the options menu in the far top left corner) are hard to press with just my finger; bundled software is useless - to date, I have not gotten my WinXP machine to detect the device through the iriver software; does NOT play flac files as easily as I though it would - the ones I have probably need to go through some kind of conversion first before they work on the device

Despite the drawbacks of the SPINN, it serves every function at least I would expect in a music player. I was surprised to find that up until now, some of the bigger name competitors' players don't even have FM radio tuners. The SPINN is very competitively priced to begin with, and what completely validates its price for me is its PEERLESS sound quality. After all, playing great sounding music is its core purpose, right?

I like the way how iRiver takes different approaches to navigation with their media players and the Spinn is no exception. While the navigation may not be as intuitive as it's predecessor - the Clix, the wheel/touch screen combination is still easy and fun to use. The player supports a wide variety of audio and video formats and the playback quality is very good. The Spinn also supports flash based games and themes but unfortunately you won't find much information from iRiver on where to download them. The only issue that I have had with the player so far is that transferred music would not appear on the Spinn unless I went into setup and chose to rebuild the library. Fortunately I found that if I changed the connection type under setup to MTP it corrected the issue. I also highly recommend upgrading the player's firmware with the included software to 2.10 or greater which includes a number of enhancements including support for larger album artwork which looks great on it's 3.3" OLED screen.

The player itself is very easy to use. The only problem I had was the cd that came with it would not install on my computer. After bringing my computer into my guru to fix it he said the cd was out of date but they were able to download the program from the website. After that was done this thing works great. It's the easyest mp3 player to program that I've ever seen. Sound is great and the pictures are very sharp. The touch screen features are pretty nice also. I would recomend this product, but I would also recomend to download the program file from the their website instead of the included cd.

this is a great buy but please find a protective case because screen can easily be cracked. because once that happens you can't really use it

Not sure if this is applicable to you, but you do know that Korea uses 220V AC compared to 110V AC in the USA, right?

Critical battery charging problem and very poor customer service

My SPINN 4GB that I bought from Korea has very critical battery charging problem. After fully discharging SPINN I couldn't recharge it at all. I could find that many people have the same problems from iRiver Korea website.
The iRiver customer service is annoying me. They suggested me to use a Korean mobile phone charger(which is being sold in Korea) with a special gender. I requested them to ship them to me, but they are just repeating to say that I need to buy them as an accessory. I'm thinking about returning my device.
