It does panoramas, basically a video at 720p converted to a still image. It works pretty well. I much prefer to lock the exposure and take a sequence of pictures, making sure that all edges overlap. Then I load the images into the excellent and free Microsoft ICE. Crop the result to produce a very high-res pano.

Yes. You press the button and slowly move horizontally. You then can view it as a video or picture on the camera.

Yes, it does Panorama and actually works pretty well. As mentioned it's called "Live Panorama".

Yes - set the dial to panoramic pics ( will see it on the screen) Hold down the shutter button and move thru the scene. Very simple and very nice

Yes, but it reduces the resolution to 10 meg...still looks good and does a full 180 degree photo.....sideways or up and down
