Ordered the phone due to the price. I followed the directions for programming in the settings so caller ID will work. Nothing happened. It won't set, the caller ID function will not work. I am sending it back.

Updated: The problem was due to the plus and negative indicators in the battery compartment being reversed, causing me to put the batteries in backwards. Once I figured out this problem, the phone worked properly. Unfortunately I am not able to alter the star rating I originally gave. I can only edit the comments.

This phone makes a terrific second phone. I have the ringer turned off and it flashes when it receives a call and also has a low level flash when it has a new Caller ID. It works great in a place where you don't want to be disturbed by noise. The only drawback is the dial isn't lighted but other than that it works perfect.

When I answer a call on this phone, I immediately switch to another phone. The problem is sound quality. The caller's voice is not clear, and my own voice sounds distorted as well. I'm sending this phone back for a refund.

I bought this phone because my kids are constantly carting my cordless phones to unknown parts of the house and leaving them there to die. I hate it when a call comes in and I can't find any of the handsets. I can hear distant ringing and before I can find a handset I have missed the call. I bought two of these phones specifically because they have caller ID and plug and STAY in the wall. One for upstairs and one for down. I was so deeply saddened that they seemed to work fine except for the caller ID function, which didn't seem to work at all. I REALLY care about that one, because so many calls to my home phone are solicitations these days and I refuse to pick up unless I recognize the number. Well, the phones were too cheap to send back so I was just living with the no caller ID problem until I went to post a negative review on Amazon and saw a review that mentioned batteries! I didn't know about batteries! I am highly resistant to reading instructions, and as another reviewer pointed out, the written instructions that come with this phone are strangely laid out and hard to decipher. I finally found the battery compartment that relates to the caller ID function (hidden in the base under the handset rest). I popped in the three aa batteries and everything started working perfectly! I am really happy. Thank you Amazon!

This was purchased for emergencies for when the power fails. It has a decent ring but the spiral phone cord is a bit short!

This is a great phone. I keep it in the bedroom and turn the ringer off. It still works when the electricity goes out during storms. It has a great features; message light, storing numbers, etc. Easy to use.

I wasn't sure of what kind of phone it would be because of the price but it fooled me.I find it to be a very good phone ...no problems.It's comfortable to hold and what I find to be very helpful are the large numbers.The ring is soft which is a feature I like.I like the phone.....

I bought this because I needed a phone in my apartment, which is really too small to merit a cordless. And I needed caller-ID. But I returned the product because even though I followed the instructions, the instrument didn't work. Pressing the buttons to dial did absolutely nothing - and then after a couple of tries it acknowledged one or two numbers but not all. The screen for the numbers was doing its own thing - I didn't really wait to figure out what that was. Obviously the price was why I bought it, but better to pay a little more for something that actually does what it's supposed to do.

the caller ID screen is not backlit, and the font is so thin that it's hard to determine what it even displays. The keys for dialing look and feel like they were made for a toy phone. Everything about this product screams "CHEAP". Looks nice hanging on the wall, but that's where the attractive nature of this product ends. My advice is look for another phone, and avoid this junk.

Works - use it just in case we have a power outage. The cordless phones don't work when the power goes out.
