As much as I would have liked this app to work, it didn't perform like the statement stated it would, plus it would shutdown, then my antivirus program told me to take it off my tablet. I have tried a few times to download this program, but it just won't stay on my tablet at all. I just have to take it out. It may work for someone else, but it didn't work for me.

This worked well and I found it to be useful with my Brand X Android 4.2 (Java Beans) tablet. I upgraded to a new tablet that now has Android 4.4 (Kit-Kat) and this app does not work, If and when it is fixed I'd like to use it again.
PS: I later discovered that my "Avast" security application for Android was responsible for killing the execution of "Free Wifi" on my Nexus 7 (model 2013) with Android 4.4. My free version of Avast does not provide detailed information as to the reason for the exception. This is the only time that Avast has kept an app from running, so I have no guess as to whether it had a good reason (or not) for disallowing Free Wifi from executing.

I had great expectations for this. I was expecting a free pass. But all it did was to give me what's available. On most tablets, there is a way to scan for wifi. This should be called 'wifi scanner', not 'wifi pass'. What's in a name? This indicates a free wifi pass to either password protected signals or to a wifi signal that doesn't exist.

All of my Android devices scan for Wifi signal constantly, so why do I need this? And the devices tell me whether its an "open" (free) signal or password protected. Unless you have some strange Android configuration that doesn't do these things, I wouldn't bother with it. Installed and then uninstalled not long after. Taking up valuable real estate in my tablet/phone better devoted to other things that are more productive/entertaining. Just a non-functional app, for me. It does do what it says it will do, though, if you have an interest in those things.

This is a very useable scanner to show what wireless networks are available, what channels are in use, and what the signal strengths are. It has been very useful for me in troubleshooting the multiple wireless access points in the school district where I work.
