First, I must confess I absolutely ADORE Santo and Johnny, and I've done so for nearly all my life. I own copies of "Wish You Love", "Ebb Tide", and "Mucho", and have tried and failed to get a copy of their Greatest Hits.

This 3 CD set has several songs from the above albums, but there are 33 new songs, all of which are well worth the purchase price.

Simply said, you can't have too much Santo and Johnny. Everything they do is cool, elegant, yet at the same time warm and lush. Their interpretations provide a new take on every song, often making their version the ne plus ultra.

There is not a bum track on any of the albums. The level of performance and production skill, is unsurpassed, the only (very) slight deficit being the introduction of some LP noise on the occasional track. This is unavoidable in the absence of available master tapes.

All songs are entertaining, including the now topical Beatles, which show the fast tempo side of the Farina brothers. The slow tempo numbers, especially ones based on vocal group hits, are simply toe curlingly lovely. They really hit the spot, and show how Santo and Johnny will always have enduring appeal.

If you've never listened to this duo, this set is a very good place to start. Packaging and production is high quality, and they arrived within days of my order, very impressive for winging all the way across the Pacific ocean.

I regard this as one of my best CD purchases, and cannot recommend it highly enough.
