Format: Hardcover
The life of Marie Antoinette has always interested me so I naturally enjoyed a book about her daughter. The author did a great job in incorporating the real journal of Madame Royal in with her biography. Unlike most biographies, this was written more in a story format, which made it easier to follow and enjoy. I would definitely recommend this book to others who are interested in reading a nonfiction book because it is a quick read and teaches you a lot about the 18th century, women of that time period, monarchy, and the French Revolution. I enjoyed how the other personalized the bits of history she placed throughout the book;she made it sound like it was coming from Madame Royale. This isn't as good as a nonfiction book, for lack of some detailing due to no record of many events, but it was a highly descriptive book of the basics of Madame Royale's life
