5.0 out of 5 stars I am in love! December 27, 2011
By Heather
I recieved this as a gift to go with my new 6" Kindle. I absolutely love it. The straps hold my Kindle securely and the cover is sturdy and folds back for easy reading. The design is absolutely beautiful (I wouldn't expect less from Kate Spade) and I recieve endless compliments when I bring it out. The cover is a high quality canvas, the only thing I worry about is the cream getting dirty but I will just be careful with it. Highly reccomended for Austen fans and anyone looking for a stylish case for their Kindle or Kindle Touch.

4.0 out of 5 stars Adorable! February 17, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
I purchased my cover about a month ago and I have not been disappointed. Since it does not have a closure device, I tie the cover with a ribbon in a pattern that compliments the cover in order to keep it closed/secure. I realize as expensive as the cover is it should have a type of closure, but I really don't mind, especially since I knew it lacked this feature before I made the purchase. The ribbon actually makes it even more adorable! The cover is certainly more about appearance than practicality, but again I realized this before I purchased the cover. It also actually cleans better than I expected. My cover has sustained a few scuff type marks and I simply used a wet wipe and they came right off. Overall a good product if you like fluff as opposed to bells and whistles.

This case is as wonderful as I expected! I finally gave in to buying a Kindle Touch because I travel a lot. I was holding out because I couldn't imagine not holding a real book in my hands. I was thrilled when I found this case inspired by my favorite book. It adds a nice personal touch to my Kindle; almost like holding a classic bound book. I love the texture and elegant design of the case and it's received many compliments.

Now for the functionality:

PROS:
-The elastic bands hold the Kindle Touch securely in place without interfering with the screen, buttons, or
headphone and usb jacks.
-Case is sleek and lightweight; doesn't add bulk.
-Flap can be folded back for one-handed reading.
-Provides enough protection for the Kindle. I feel comfortable tossing it into my purse.

CONS: (I gave the case five stars despite the following cons because if you are a big enough Jane Austen fan to buy this, the cons are so minor when compared to the fun of having this case dress up your Kindle.)

-The case is likely to be dirt-prone due to the color and texture. So far I have managed to keep it pristine by
taking extra care to only place it on clean, dry surfaces, and touch it which clean hands, which is a good
practice regardless of what case you have. Though it provides good protection, this case is obviously designed
primarily for decorative purposes. If you need rugged protection, this one's not for you.
-I think the spine of the case might start to crease after a while since I usually fold the flap back when I read.
-It would be nice if the case had a closure, but it seems to stay closed even when being tossed around in my
purse.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely January 31, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
I am a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice and so of course I had to get this cover! It truly is lovely. I am impressed with the quality and durability of the case BUT, I am confused as to why the back and spine of the cover is a glazed canvas and the front and inside canvas is not. This is a concern for me because the material is cream and will easily dirty. My only other {minor} gripe is that the vertical lines on the inside are rather distracting while reading. My solution has been to fold back the cover. I am however going to keep this case despite my concerns (I am going to see if there is a product out there that will glaze canvas???). All in all it is classic and beautifully designed. It's always fun to do everything in style...reading is no exception! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars It is a truth universally acknowledged... May 2, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single person in possession of a Kindle Touch must be in want of a cover.

I love Jane Austen; whenever I see something even remotely related to Jane Austen, I get excited. So when I saw this was available for accessorizing my Kindle Touch, I knew I had to get it. What better way to show being a Janeite than having such a cute and classy cover?

If you're like me, and you adore Jane Austen, I would suggest getting this. The case does its job well - it looks pretty, it protects the Kindle, and it is very accessible. Reading your Kindle is not awkward, as you can flip the cover backwards, which gives a firm back to support the Kindle.

But there are some things to consider before you buy:

The front of the cover is a little rough to the touch. Not that this is a bad thing, but when I bought this, I had it in my head that it would feel a little more...luxurious. It's just a little shock though. The spine is soft and leathery, and the back is painted (which softens the rough texture.) Also note that the front of the cover may be prone to getting dust and hairs on it (dog owners, watch out!)

When you get the case, it does look a little lopsided. However, when you put the Kindle inside it, it's barely noticeable (unless you study it intently, determined to commit it to memory.)

Putting the Kindle inside, for me at least, was a little difficult. I bought my first Kindle with this case, so I was pretty much treating my Kindle Touch (and even the case itself, to some extent) like a china doll when I put it in. I found the straps to be tight; but I guess tight is good as my Kindle has not moved an inch as it is secure in place.

But overall, I suggest getting this.
