I bought this after thoroughly enjoying Katherine's "Live at Llangollen" DVD. The girl has gained quite a following based, I fear, as much on her stunning beauty as on her voice. The looks have made her a poster girl for Mont Blanc, while the voice has gotten some bad press ("Opera News") which is, to an extent, I think, a bit unfair. Katherine is an entertainer who uses classical music as her vehicle, not an opera singer. A younger, prettier, Sarah Brightman, whom no one would think of holding to a much different standard. (And though one is soprano and the other mezzo, they sing many of the same numbers).

I liked it...not as well produced as the previous above named offering, but still quite good. Katherine benefits from a "home field advantage", as the audience obviously loved her as their own. And she loved them back; the sing-alongs of patriotic music really worked. If Katherine is no opera singer, Juan Diego Flores, her tenor-of-the-evening, sure is...excellent contribution.

All-in-all, five stars. Don't expect "profound", but do expect to be well entertained by a gorgeous girl making the best use of the voice God gave her.

This wonderful wine and cheese party video is perfect for your next Summer gathering. Katherine is a beautiful girl with an amazing voice. The Welsh singer and sometime model bridges that gap between classical music and popular Andrew Lloyd Webber theatre type songs. She wants to keep classical music alive by bringing it to the masses so it is not forgotten and more importantly, it is understood. Whether she's singing in Italian, English or Spanish, she projects the feeling and passion of the song or aria, even if you don't know the meaning of the lyrics or libretto. She's a one of a kind, doing something very special. Much like a picnic along a Scotish countryside with a castle in the background, take her along to add some extra sparkle to your day.

Entertaining, and wonderful music from a rising star. Gotta love the fact that her voice is only surpassed by her beauty and wonderful personality. Love the boots!

- select the DVD setup to DTS 5.1.

This cd provides great music from a very talented person. However, since the setting is outside, there lacks much needed accoustics. The cd that takes place at Llangollen is seriously better. This cd is still worth getting. However, I would not purchase another one with an outside setting.

I fell in love with Hayley Westenra and Celtic Woman. I was looking for another artist who sang that type of music. In this I was very disappointed. Hayley's voice is so clear, Katherine sounded very muddy in comparison.
