Editorial Reviews

From the Author

When I was a child, I used to memorize and know by heart many books that my parents read to me before bedtime.
I played with words and rhymes and wrote my first book of songs, at the age of 10.
After many years of turning to other hobbies, academic studies, and maintaining a successful career as founder and CEO of a software company I started to write again for children books.
Enjoy my book :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes you just need a different view of things June 29, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The last we saw of Terry Treetop, he was doing a heroic act and making new friends to share his new tree house with (Children's Book: Terry Treetop Finds New Friends (Happy Inspired children's books Collection)). In this story, five-year-old Terry and his family are going camping. Terry finds an egg on the ground, and putting his detective skills to work, he goes off trying to find a mother who's lost an egg. After having no luck, he tries a different approach and is successful, making a new friend of a grateful mother in the process.

It's a cute story, told with rhyming verses, and the very colorful illustrations will help to hold a youngster's attention as they follow Terry's progress in finding the egg's owner. Kids will love the satisfying ending.

I bought the second book in the series for my little niece because she loves "Terry Treetop" and his adventures...They are always fun, and rhyming makes her laugh so much, she will be making me read this book many times..The illustrations are cute, big and colorful..It's summer camping time and Terry finds a "lost little egg" on the ground..Terry is a good and happy boy so we follow him as he looks for the "Mom"....This is where it becomes educational because each new "Animal Mom", shows him the importance and the different ways they take care of their own "babies"..Such as, "Sandy the Sea Turtle", which sits on her eggs in a hole in the sand...The new Mom tells him when her eggs hatch, all her adorable "baby turtles" then run into the water where they learn how to swim...

Terry has his nickname because he is the best tree climber..He sees an "empty birds nest" way up high in a tree trunk..Terry protects the little lost egg and keeps it warm..What surprise will "Pipi" have when she returns home..

What I like about this series is that it always shows how to make new friends, teaches different aspects of animal life and to be a good child by helping others....

(For parents: even though this is a series, each book is a stand alone story and their only connection is cute, little 5 yr old boy Terry..So, you have your choices)

5.0 out of 5 stars ~~Terry goes camping~~ March 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Terry Treetop goes camping and discovers an egg. This is the story of Terry trying to locate the "Mother". The story rhymes plus has some interesting facts about different animals and how their eggs are hatched. Drawings are colorful as one can see from the illustration above.

Most highly recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars Is English your first language? September 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I only viewed the preview. In the first page I am driven to research Tali's bio. Being raised in Israel leads me to wonder if the grammar and punctuation are better in Hebrew. This is not a book I would read to a child in English."Him and his family" put me off instantly, excessive use of "and" with exclamation points nailed it for me. Children learn grammar and vocabulary best from stories and parents speaking. This first page is like a Cheetoh, tastes good but of no life value. I believe with good editing to English standards this could be a good book. Tali has love and drive, that shows.

My daughter loved the way Terry Treetop protected the egg and made sure it got to its mother safely. Terry Treetop was a great example of a caring and responsible kid.

3.0 out of 5 stars terry treetop and the Iost egg August 20, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
It was a cute book. I did notice a typo or two. It was very colorful to keep children's attention. The only thing I wish was different was the page format. The one page had the picture and a few sentences then when you went to the next page to read the rest there was no picture. Maybe it is just my tablet don't know.

1.0 out of 5 stars Yikes. May 11, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The sentence structure was a disaster and the rhymes were extremely forced. I think it could have been a much more enjoyable reading experience if it was written with simple storytelling. Also, the illustrations, while cute, didn't always match what was written. For example, the "hen" was a turkey with a chicken‘s chicks - just bizarre.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awkward rhyming
The rhyming seems very contrived and not comfortable to read. This was a free download and I can see why. Good premise but I can't get past the awkward rhymes.

I received a copy of this book for free to review. While the pictures in the book are very pretty, the text itself is a little difficult. Read more

My 7 year old gramdson read the story and shared the details. He was excited about the story. His enthusiasm enough warrants this a 5 star story.
