Rich Mironov is a serial entrepreneur and seasoned software executive. He's been the "product guy" at six tech startups including as CEO and VP Products.
He provides full-time, interim and project-based consulting to large and small technology companies with a focus on product strategy, agile, and the organization of product teams. Rich is a mentor throughout Silicon Valley, sharing his expertise through talks, blogs, and free exchange of ideas. He founded the first Product Camp and chaired the first product owner/product manager tracks at the annual Agile Conference.
Rich started his technology industry career as a software engineer at Hewlett-Packard. He managed networking products for six years at Tandem Computers, headed product teams in the early days of Sybase, then went on to a series of startups: Wayfarer Communications, iPass, Slam Dunk Networks (VP), AirMagnet (VP), Enthiosys (CMO) and Suddenly Social (CEO).
Author of "The Art of Product Management" and the popular "Product Bytes" blog, Rich has served on the boards of SVPMA and PDMA Norcal, taught in Haas' executive education program, and guest-lectured at many business schools (MIT, Dublin Institute of Technology, Stanford, Santa Clara...) and corporate events.
Rich has an M.B.A. from Stanford University, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a B.S. degree in physics from Yale University (with a thesis on dinosaur extinction theories).
