In 2012, May Saubier documented her many experiences in "high-quality" daycare centers by writing, Doing Time: What It Really Means To Grow Up In Daycare. Unlike the vast majority of childcare workers in the United States, Saubier holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, as well as a Master's Degree in Special Education. Her experience includes teaching public school for six years and working in a number of childcare centers as a daycare provider. She is, therefore, in the unique position to illustrate and critique what she has witnessed. Not only is Saubier a professional in the field of education, she has worked in the daycare trenches.
