When I ordered this item I didn't know exactly what to expect; I am glad to say that I was very pleased! For a long time now, I have been hunting for an old-style leather-bound journal that I could take with me anywhere I went. I didn't want lines on the pages or a hard cover; this journal was the answer to my search! It is small enough to fit in your pocket and covered in soft, dark-brown leather. It has a strap attached to the outer back cover which you can use to wrap around it to keep the book closed tight. There is plenty of room to write in this book of 320 pages. These pages are completely blank(no lines & no silly quotes) and off-white(very light tan or yellowish-white) in color giving it an older, more classic look. In short, this is a great leather pocket journal, perfect for recording all your thoughts, travels and adventures. I plan on getting a few more myself!

Although the journal is quite lovely and made well, I would suggest that the web site put the measurements of this journal on the description. It is actually smaller than I had expected.

I just purchased the journal and recieved it yesterday. I love it though it is longer than I anticipated. It doesn't quite fit in my pocket but it is a good travling size. I have it in front of me and will therefore give the dimensions.

Length (From spine to edge of cover): 10cm (4in)
Width (From cover to cover): 2cm (3/4in)
Heigth (Top of cover to bottom): 13.8cm (5.5in)

The strap is long enough to circle the book twice. It also has a page marking ribbon like the type you'd find in a Bible. I give it four stars because I can't just carry it in my back pocket but I do not regret purchasing it. A great buy.

I see no one took the advice of the second reviewer and included the measurements in the description! Since I am backpacking, this is very important to me. I would not and will not order it without them.
