Este libro es muuuy diferente a Como Agua Para Chocolate, asi que no lo comparen. De una forma divertida y amigable, contando una "aventura" que le podria pasar a cualquiera de nosotros, Laura Esquivel nos invita a ponernos en los zapatos (en los ojos, en los recuerdos...) de los personajes de su libro. Nos involucra con cada uno de ellos, e inevitablemente, terminamos reflexionando sobre nuestra propia vida. Lo recomiendo muchisimo. Solo le encuentro una posible falla: utiliza muchas anecdotas y hechos (a veces, muy sutiles) de la historia de Mexico y de la Cd. de Mexico, que podrian confundir al lector que no haya vivido ahi. Pero el mensaje final sigue siendo muy bello y universal.

En La Ley del Amor, la autora pretende presentar temas que requieren pensamiento crítico, imaginación y exceptisismo. Esta novela habla de temas místicos, los rodea de una visión futurística que no tiene nada que ver con lo ridículo. Para resumir es un libro para soñadores que nos deleitamos al imaginar aquello que no podemos explicarnos sin perder la noción de la realidad. Excelente.

Whereas in Like water for chocolate emotions are passed on to others through food, in this book the medium is music. The book comes with a CD and through the story there are indications as to when to play each track. Although this implied having to be in proximity of a CD player while reading, it was a lot of fun and the music selection is quite interesting as well.

If you have to choose between this book and Like water for chocolate, go with the latter. But this is still a nice story told in Esquivel's wonderful style.

I red the book, it seems have not a english translated edition, but if you can comprehend or are learning spanish don't miss this book. Laura Esquivel open our minds to the latin culture (mexican) in a future time. A funny and heartrending soulmates history and how they're part of great divine plan. Not just a romantic history, there's too guardian angels and demons helping in and we can aprecciate what characters are hearing because the book includes a CD. A great combination of hummor, love, technology and faith make LA LEY DEL AMOR, an unforgetable book.

The book (though dry and rambling in some places), was quite beautiful. The narrative changes perspectives as each character explains a certain part of the story. It was a wonderful adventure!

Laura Esquibel juega nuevamente con los sentimientos mas intimos del ser humano, endulzandolos y enriqueciendolos con su sentido del humor. Esta ver aborda el tema de las reencarnaciones y con ello nos hace pensar nuevamente en nuestro interno destino. Este libro es un regalo para el corazón, vale la pena leerlo.

I did have tons of fun reading this book. As a Latin I do love a lot Cuquita's character because she represents many people I know. She has the pepper of the story.

The whole plot is treated in an amusign way so you will never, ever get bored.

Very Different way of looking at life after death. I love ALL of Laura Esquivel's works of art, but this was simply entertaining.

This book contains romance and much imagination. It uses the impossible and possible to build a story of love and charma.

Como tantas otras escritoras latinoamericanas, Laura Esquivel pasa de ser original a totalmente comercial y sin sentido... un tema totalmente traido de los cabellos, una prosa forzada y un CD terrible. Se nota que lo escribio a las corridas... money, money, money
