Grade 3-5 Bean, the lunar module pilot on Apollo 12 (1969), became the fourth U.S. astronoaut to walk on the moon. This ``as told to'' autobiography follows Bean's life from childhood to the present. However, the writing quality is poor. The book is a rambling narrative, there are several trite phrases, and at times Bean talks down to his audience.
