3.0 out of 5 stars It's Just OK December 29, 2011
Verified Purchase
This photo viewer is able to aggregate your photos from your on-line media sites, but does a poor job organizing and displaying the pictures.

The app allows you to log into Dropbox, Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, and Shutterfly and will pull down all of the personal pictures you have posted, but I have not noticed any real way to sort the photos in the album. Also, the pictures are only displayed in "portrait" and does not support "Landscape" mode.

This runs fine on the Kindle Fire, but I am hoping for an update to address the shortcomings.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs Improvement January 10, 2012

Woven has potential, but currently falls short. As at least one other reviewer mentioned: it needs a way to organize your photos and definitely must have a landscape mode. Other than that - I like it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, for a version 1 app December 27, 2011
Verified Purchase
Lets start by saying I am glad to have an app like this, and the app seems to work fine, but it's had significant flaws.
If there was a native flickr app for the fire, I'd be using that.

1. Browsing flickr, it starts at the beginning of my timeline, 10 years ago, 2800 photos ago. There is no way to control this.
The page scrolling is not designed for someone with any large amount of photos in any of the social networking sites.

2. Flickr - Shows duplicate photos

3. No landscape mode?

4. No support for commenting.

It's almost as if they realized they needed a photo viewer asap, and decided to throw this together.

I hope they continue to work the app, as it has a lot of potential.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must-have for the Kindle Fire May 13, 2012

Don't listen to the person who said that Woven only displays in portrait mode--turn your tablet and you get landscape mode. This is an excellent program--elegant simplicity. All your photos in one interface. A must-have for the Kindle Fire.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great App!! May 9, 2012

I think this is one of the best photo apps. available, especially considering the cost (FREE).I love being able to view my photos on my Kindle Fire. I do think that sometimes it's slow to load, but....really, does everything need to be instant?

I installed this on my Kindle Fire and selected the two apps that have most of my photos - Facebook and Picassa Web albums. The photos are all grabbed and collected into one place and shown as a screen of large previews in a gridlike pattern. They are arranged by the date the camera tagged each photo with. Tap on a preview to see the graphic/photo as an individual photo - full screen in the portrait viewing position. It even shows the photo's Picassa name if you assigned it one. Considering the price (free) this is a great little application to aggregate your photos. My only suggestion for improvement would be gesture zooming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works for me February 2, 2012

While you cannot pick and choose this app was a GREAT thing for me. I needed pictures for a doctor visit as well as for insurance purposes. Even though the office has wifi - when enlarging Facebook photos it disconnected the Fire. Now I have the photos available without needing a connection. I am sure once this app is used more there will be updates which enable other uses. The app does exactly what it says - it allows you to view your photos. Thanks!!
