A Love Match was Barbara Skelton's second novel published in 1969. It had a brief life, falling foul of a libel threat, and for a long time was very scarce. Beneath its surface blacknesses of mood and double-dealing, what makes this book more diverting than painful is the amused unblinking eye the author brings to bear on an unusually wide range of characters.
