French milled soaps in the time-honored process of slowly milling the base three times for a superior, long-lasting luxury soap. Our pure vegetable base of Palm, Coconut and Glycerin enriched with Shea Butter results in a rich, moisturizing soap perfect for all skin types including sensitive to dry. The addition of exfoliates in our soaps provide a soothing and natural exfoliating benefit by gently scrubbing away dead skin and other surface impurities.

Ingredients
Sodium Palmate (Palm Oil), Sodium Palm Kernelate (Palm Kernel Oil), Sodium Cocoate (Coconut Oil), Glycerin (Vegetable Glycerin), Purified Water, Fragrance (also contains one of the following exfoliates: Wheat Germ, Lemongrass, Lavender Buds, Mint Leaves, Luffa Cylindricia Fruit (Loofah), Chamomilla Vulgaris Flower (Chamomile Flower), or Avena Sativa Kernel Meal (Oat Meal), Sodium Chloride (Salt Bi-Product), Butyrospernum Parkii (Shea Butter), Tetrasodium Etidronate, Pentasodium Pentetate, Tetrasodium EDTA (preservatives), Titanium Dioxide (colorant).

This grayish blue soap lathers very well and doesn't seem as drying as most other soaps. Although newly purchased at the store, it smells vaguely of lavender. (Who knows how long it sat around in the store though.) According to the package, this is an exfoliating soap, and there are a few brown specks in there of je ne sais quoi (I don't know what), but no, the soap doesn't really exfoliate. This particular SaVon soap is 100% vegan with no animal ingredients nor testing.

Minus a star for environmentally wasteful packaging. The two bars come in an unnecessary plastic sleeve that will take up space in a landfill. I hope the company will consider redesigning their packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Besides, this French-milled* soap with the French sounding name didn't have to travel across the Atlantic, it's made in the USA.

*I think it's no accident that they left out the hyphen in "French milled" and gave their product a French-sounding name. They want you to think it was made in France and presumedly a better soap with greater mysterious beautifying properties than those made in the USA.

I'll admit I'm something of a hedonist when it comes to showering -- and nothing feels better on a sweltering Mississippi day than a cool shower using mint soap!

I thought I'd try this product as my current supplier has gone belly-up and, although it's a lovely, creamy, sudsy soap, it's neither very minty or very rosemary-y. The aroma is rather soapy, and there's no "mint tingle" whatsoever when bathing.

What you get for your money is a well-made, attractively-packaged soap.
