I've noticed a few people who reviewed this item here at Amazon.com complaining that the screen cover wouldn't fit or kept falling from the body of the cover. Well, I've received mine yesterday, and, initially, I got a little frustrated, as I had the same problem. But then I started to figure out if I was doing it the right way. And I've found out the answer: I was doing it the wrong way! I was trying to attach the screen cover on the wrong side. It seemed to me at first that I should position the screen cover after having mounted the rest of the cover. This led the screen cover not to attach or fit too much tightly. The right way is to put the screen cover on the inside of the front part facing downwards, and then put your Kindle (faced downwards) on it, then put the back part onto it all and "close" the cover. I've found a video from iPearl explaining how to properly mount it (below I'll show you how to watch this). The video shows the proper order on the mounting of the shell. One thing they didn't focus on the video is the right of the screen cover. There are some very tiny "tabs" that should both the front part of the cover and the screen cover. Try one side, and if it doesn't fit, try the other side. Be aware to the fact that, after having mounted it all, the screen cover won't actually touch the Kindle screen, instead, it'll touch only the very tip of the borders, and will sort of "float" over the Kindle screen itself, though being a little "low-relief" compared to the rest of the cover. I'm not sure if I was clear enough, it seems complicated at first, but in fact it is easier than it seems after you figure out the right way. Hope I could help. Read more ›

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect For Me! March 3, 2010
Verified Purchase
I was excited to receive the Clear mCover for my Kindle DX yesterday. See, I had been looking for a cover that protected the device FROM ME when I was reading it at home or on the go...I also wanted something that wasn't visually distractive or covered any of the buttons or ports. It was also important that I find something that I could use with a carrying case. The beauty of it all is that I found that with this product and more! A cute bonus is the stand that extends from the back...perfect for table top reading.

What I'm really excited about is the screen protector. It isn't the typical protector that is available for electronic devices...this protector is the same hard shell that protects the device. And it does so WITHOUT ACTUALLY TOUCHING the screen! See, I was afraid to buy the typical screen protector after reading in a review that it damaged the screen.

The product comes in three pieces (front, back, screen). After carefully snapping the front and back into place, I carefully snapped the screen cover in place and voilá! It was a very easy install.

This product is simply AWESOME...and at only $12! I called my co-worker over, a fellow Kindle owner, so she could check it out and she was so impressed...she bought one right then. (yikes...I sound like a sales rep! LoL)

I don't recommend buying the color covers for the Kindle though. The thought of it gave me a headache, so I'm confident that all of that color surrounding the device while reading would surely cause discomfort. I'm looking forward to buying one of these in a cute color for my laptop though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Convenient July 26, 2011
Verified Purchase
I have had my Kindle DX since Christmas, I got it with Amazon's very nice leather case. The leather case however, is heavy, awkward to hold on a train, and prone to getting beat up in my backpack. The mCover shell is a great alternative. It defends the Kindle from most abuse while it's in my backpack, but it leaves the Kindle instantly accessible, (easy to tell, at a glance, if it is on or off), it is easy to hold, and it is light weight. Also, it is inexpensive. The cool little book stand feature in the back has turned out to be very convenient for using the Kindle on those occasions where I find myself eating alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Kindle Protector November 12, 2010
Verified Purchase
I bought this case after looking at many many leather book cases, I found this to allow me to hold the kindle without fear of damaging it, and it is tough too! I found this out by dropping my kindle (not intentionally) The kindle was fine as well as the cover. I like the space-age effect of the encasement and the display cover included with it lets me put it in my purse without worry.
Thanks

5.0 out of 5 stars Protect DX January 13, 2011

I was looking for a protective skin for my DX when I saw this hard plastic case from ipearl. It took some carefull reading but when it was snapped together it made the DX feel like it was very well protected. Unlike the skins and clear plastic covers, thi screen cover (optional to install) was made of hard plastive. Not only did it protect the screen but it also protects against hard hits that wouls otherwise crack the screen. All the features on the DX are open and available and it also has a built in kick stand. This protector has it all. I would recommend this to anyone with a Kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars clear M cover for DX August 9, 2011

I find this cover functional and does not add weight or bulk. No problems at all installing. The advice to turn it upside down and lay face down on the screen protector which sits inside cover worked like a charm. No issues at all for me with this product. I like that I feel it is now protected sufficiently to sit in the sun and use it, lay against me if I am wet from pool or have sunscreen hands, etc.

It fits the Kindle DX very well. Provides good protection. The screen protector is more reflective than I like, though.

1.0 out of 5 stars It doesn't fit my hdx
IDK why but me and my husband tried to put it on my kindle hdx but it will not fit. I tried to return it but I had to pay for shipping so it's a total waste of money for me. Boo!

1.0 out of 5 stars BAD RETURN POLICY
Bad return policy. It won't fit under my cover and they want to charge to return. It's cheaper to just keep it even though I don't want it.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's OK
I found that the faceplate protector does not fit 100% but when put together it does the job of protecting the reader against scuffing.
