All in all, however, they have worked great and feel very comfortable.

I had an ACL reconstructions and needed to get a pair of crutches. My orthopedic surgeon offered crutches at $44 for a pair of standard aluminum crutches. I figured, "If I'm going to be on crutches, I want them to be nice."

Even though the site said shipping 3-5 days. I wrote the merchant an email letting them know I needed it in 3 days because I had surgery scheduled. By golly, it was here in day 3!

Of course, I didn't know what to look for when I selected these crutches. They *seemed* to have lots of nice features and they looked nice. Now that I have them, I LOVE them.

FORM - the crutches are contoured to your body, so it makes it easier to use and more comfortable under your arms. The head of physical therapy was impressed with them, that he got the name of the crutch/company so he can consider offering it to their patients. The bottom tip pivots so I felt stable while walking.

STYLE - they don't look like those standard plain crutches. Everyone notices and comments on them. Sound superficial - that is because it is. (Hey, I'm a girl, I care about these things.) Someone on my sports team ask me if I got them from Neiman Marcus.

STORAGE - not only are they adjustable (1 or 2 button adjustments - not the screw in adjustments that standard crutches offer) but they are collapsible. So they are easy to store if youre getting on a plane or need to put them away for someone to borrow in the future.

IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED - my only complaint is the rubber pads. I *think* they could have made them a tad bit softer. I know this is a standard complaint folks have with crutches. I didn't get *rubbing* sore spots but I did get *pressure* sore spots on the palms of my hands. I put a lot of weight on my palms alot to go down stairs. Is there a solution for this? I don't know.

I'm glad a bought them, they were well worth it.

These crutches were delivered to me on 8/24/2011. They only lasted until 8/27/2011 until one of them collapsed. The cheap plastic button that they use to adjust the lower leg broke off allowing the lower leg to retract fully. I am an amputee so when i lose support on that side i fall. I sent them an e-mail Saturday and called them 8/29/2011 as yet have not heard back from the company.

Had orthopedic surgery and on my second week of using these crutches.

Didn't have to glue anything like one of the other reviewers did. They are comfortable - for crutches. I don't have excessive rubbing sores but do get a bit red by the end of the day. They take me out to the do jang, shopping, and up and down the stairs in our place.

Nurses, friends, people where I go all ask me about them so they are a great conversation piece. Most comment on their style and that they are easily collapsable.

My daughter can carry them when they are collapsed so she can help out.

They are worth the purchase.

Pros:
Great Design.
Great Premise.
Great Idea.
Great Price.
Great Customer Service.

Cons (Sadly):
The adhesives are awful.
The locking mechanisms are awful.
The quality of the product as a whole is awful.

Experience:
I have ordered two e-crutch Economy Crutches (I always order multiples of products I like - or think I will like) and now I am on my third pair. They have all broken; whether it be the adhesive, the locking mechanisms, or simply them "redesigning" the cushioning to become more efficient and cheaper - but sacrificing comfort and stability.
You are buying a concept here...not a product. The product itself is terrible. Products are not meant to last 3 weeks - at least none that want to be successful. I would rather pay $100 for longevity and quality than half the price and have to constantly replace or "self-refurbish" a product.
It is extremely dangerous if you are selling a product that is hazardous to your consumer. You are not selling post-its. The implications for distributing a product that is suppose to aid people's health that ultimately becomes detrimental is unconscionable.

Go these for my wife after she broke her leg. Much more comfortable and maneuverable than the standard crutches and she likes that they look cool too. The only downside is that the rubber used for the feet is kinda hard--its not as grippy as the rubber feet you find on generic crutches.

I like these crutches. They are like another review stated "noisy", due to the collapsibility. I will be using them outside only. I must commend the customer service at "medicaltoyou" they were very gracious in helping me with my situation.

OK, these are a real nice weight, not heavy, that is. They look good and feel good. I only gave them 3 stars because one of the handles broke off! Not a good situation for someone who needs crutches! I didn't need them permanently so contd to use them aware to be careful not to knock it off, which I did anyway. Be forewarned, though I may have just got a lemon.

I have to be honest one of the main selling points on this crutch was the look of it - I have chronic knee issues and when you're on crutches as often as I am you get tired of the old gray drab. I picked these up because my old ones were showing some cracks and the cushions were in need of replacement, so I spent a bit more (probably double) to get these. I also felt the fact that they could break down easily was a good selling point too.

I got them in December, 2011 but didn't need them for practical use (other than "testing them out") until last week when I had knee surgery to hopefully solve most of my problems once and for all. I accepted a spare pair of crutches from the surgical center and I'm glad I did because I'm honestly not sure how long these will hold up. Let me explain in detail:

1) The Cushions: they look great and even look "soft" in the pictures - but the fact is they are made from a VERY firm rubber and are not soft at all. Add this to the fact that the hand cushions (as opposed to the ones on the top of the crutches) are EASILY removable, the functionality of these is way below par. Almost every time I use these to walk up steps using the standard method of putting both crutches in one hand and using the banister with the other hand, one or both of the hand cushions will come off and I have to spend time putting them back on and try to hold them in place while I'm trying to keep myself steady - this isn't safe to have to bother with. When removed, you can see a whole lot of dried glue where the cushions meet the crutches, but obviously their glue is inferior for their needed purpose. I plan on contacting the company to find out what they feel I should do about this, and I'll update this review based on their response.
