We were surprised that we couldn't take ANY shots without a memory card. Don't forget to order the card at the same time. My daughter loves this camera though. It takes beautiful pictures even though she's not really trying very hard to.

None, it doesn't have internal memory. If you try to take a picture or record video with no SD card, the camera will warn you with messages on screen, and a noise if you take a picture. The item description implies this by not telling you anything about internal memory. It's not really surprising, given that devices that do have internal memory have a very small amount of it and aren't really useful without an SD card anyway. Note also that the camera doesn't come with an SD card, you have to buy one separately. They're cheap and easy to find, but it could potentially be a nasty surprise!

Just buy a memory card for $8 at the drug store and put it in the camera. Then you can take hundreds of photos. This is not an issue.
