All Onkyo receivers have enough ummph...even the older models (mine is from 2003). If your subwoofer seems to be getting a weak signal, on your receiver remote look for a button called "CH SEL." This will allow you to turn up any or all of your speakers and sub to a higher level. I have my levels at 0 for my speakers, and +2 for my PSW10 and it has plenty of umpph.
