An authentic story. I was only 9 yrs old at the time, all that Charles wrote about, minus the explicit details, I can verify to be true. However, living and knowing the life around me, which I was guarded against, but photos to prove it, to that person who didn't believe, I can verify his story to be true; a story of intricate and inner workings of people living around Rockerfeller Plaza before it was Rockerfeller Plaza. Although I'm not an expert in writing, I do like they way it was done, just a day by day note of the life of a messenger.I lived at 117 W 49th St., until 1963...I am Maxine.
