R. Mulloy says:
Quentin Tarantino misspelled it on purpose. He worked in a video store as a youth and the VHS copy of the movie was misspelled, so he spelled his movie the same way it was spelled on the VHS case. It may also be a homage to the old spaghetti western style foreign films which Tarantiono likes to emulate in some of his films. The titles in some of those films were misspelled when they were distributed in North America.
