The Mix 1 Blueberry-Vanilla protein and antioxidant drink is 11 oz. and 200 calories of nutritious vitamins and minerals. According to the bottle, each serving contains:

*15 grams of premium whey isolate
*23 vitamins and minerals
*3 servings of fruit/veggies
*antioxidants = to 4 cups of tea
*free of lactose, gluten, soy and caffeine

It doesn't end there. Although the product contains a little too much sugar, it is at least organic cane sugar and organic evaporated cane juice. The product itself is not organic but rather all-natural. But how does it taste? My first impression was how much it tastes like vitamins, but not necessarily in a bad way. It reminded me somewhat of a liquid yogurt drink with a vitamin-like taste. The product is perfect for replenishment after a workout or perhaps a quick pick-me-up in the morning for breakfast while driving to work.

Other positives:

*no trans fats
*370mg potassium
*70% RDA of vitamin C
*3g of dietary fiber

The one negative I did find with the product is the price. Even buying in bulk at a case of 12 the price still averages over $2.00 a bottle. If that is of no concern to you and are looking for a healthy drink you can't go wrong with this product.

I tried a free sample of these drinks at Whole Foods and bought a few to try. They taste like good yogurt smoothies and are fruity but not too sweet. (Much less sweet than a Yoplait, they are WAY too sweet) I'm hypoglycemic and can't do anything with too much sugar, so the fact that this drink has a low glycemic index is a big draw for me. The Blueberry-Vanilla and the Berry are my favorites but the Mango is good too. With 15 grams of protein its as good as an energy bar and great for breakfast or an afternoon snack. Not cheap but worth it if you have blood sugar issues.

My 5 yr. old and I enjoy this drink. It's a little like a yogurt smoothie. The ingredients list is top notch and it's very well balanced. It's a great healthy snack or meal replacement.

LOVE IT! Yum! Taste great and great for you. I have multiple allergies and this is the only protein drink that doesn't trigger anything!

It makes me feel great with nothing artificial! It is a wonderful product-- not too sweet-- packed with vitamins, minerals and omega fatty acids with a variety of flavors to choose from. I drink the Lime and Blueberry-Vanilla because there are no ingredients that I am allergic to!

There is no grit, no unpleasant aftertaste and this drink is fruity, flavorful, creamy like a smoothie and chemical-free!

I add rice protein powder to mine to boost the protein content even more (along with a little water). It still tastes fantastic!

I love this product and hope that the makers of Mix 1 never change the anything about their products! Thanks to Amazon for once again offering the best price for this product--around $2.08 per unit versus $2.69 per unit elsewhere! Huge savings!

Please note that some of the people posting 1 star and complaining about the quality simply do not know what they are talking about. Whey-isolate is the best protein post workout and simple carbohydrates (yes, even some sugar) is GOOD for you after a workout as well as long as it is in the proper ratio to protein which this IS!! It is fine that people do not like the taste but some of these people's facts are way off. As far as price, this product is very reasonable compared to any other pre-made protein drink if not out right cheaper.

With a very good vitamin and mineral complex, no bad fat AND a solid source of anti oxidants, you are going to be hard pressed to find a better pre-made protein shake. I have researched many protein drinks over the years and this is probably the overall best that I have come across. I definitely recommend it to anyone whether you are a avid exerciser or not.

This is the best after workout protein drink I have found. I strongly recommend it to anyone who exercises regulary, especially weightlifters for an after workout replenishment drink.

I am writing this review in response to the review from another individual regarding the HIGH SUGAR content. First of all the product is sweetened with all natural organic cane sugar. Second the whey protein and fiber help stabilize blood sugar levels. Third a bottle of Mix 1 has less sugar than an 8 ounce glass of most of your favorite fruit juices. Additionally, take a look at other comparison products out there and you will find many of them have almost twice the amount of sugar as a bottle of Mix 1. Although this product is not for everyone, specifically those, such as diabetics, that may have special issues with sugar, for most individuals the sugar content is sensible.

I love this shake, but consume it in moderation. There are 22 gm of sugar in one shake, so I usually drink 1/2 a container at a time. I often blend it with a little yogurt & fruit, which makes a fantastic smoothie that is good for you. The protein content really helps to keep me feeling satisfied for a long period of time.

I have tried the MixBerry, Blueberry, and Tangerine, and so far my favorite is the Tangerine. It has a yummy light orang-y taste and its nice and frothy like a smoothie. I have Crohn's disease and the company asked me to try the product and let people know what I thought. I think this is a nice change from the thick chemical-y nature of boost or ensure and has a much fresher taste. I like the natural ingredients and the fact that it has organic cane sugar instead of anything artificial. Great way to get protein, anti-oxidants, vitamins, and a bit of healthy fat.

To me, this tastes like a yogurt smoothie - there is nothing artificial nor yucky/gross about the taste at all! I'm not sure what some people are saying when they state how bad this tastes, but then again, we all have different views or perceptions, when it comes to how something tastes. All in all though, the vast majority of these positive reviews do not lie, this is definitely one of the better tasting protein shakes out there. I primarily am drinking this since I just had my wisdom teeth taken out and it's turned out to be perfect, especially for breakfast! Before my wisdom teeth extractions, I was looking for any nutritious drinks out there (besides Ensure, Boost or Slim Fast) that looked like it would actually taste good and was without all the artificial stuff and each time I searched, this particular one came out to be the best choice, especially considering the ingredients that I was looking for in a shake. I absolutely do not regret my purchase at all and am quite happy I found this!!
