amazing,
By Thomas (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 2 GB Digital Audio Player Black (Electronics)
Pros: tiny size, readable display, intuitive controls, great sound, FM radio, recording capabilities, equalizers and sound enhancement settings that actually work, mass storage device (usable as a flash drive).
Cons: awful-looking necklace earbuds (ugh!), sometimes iffy radio reception, USB charger cable w/ large magnetic shielding actually bulkier than the player itself. Overall, a very nice player in an amazingly small form factor.

The Best of the best- so far,

After discarding the stock headphones, and using my Shure E2c's- Wow, what absolutely phenominal sound!!! Beats Apple all to hell. As a musician, I don't recall ever hearing such fine detail and pure sound from such a small device. This should be the standard until someone finds a way to improve on the technology. A very smart purchase, and what clever OLED lighting.

Overall, it's great!,
This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 2 GB Digital Audio Player Black (Electronics)
This is an amazing product. It holds 2 GB in a tiny space. I was surprised at actually how small it was. I saw the pictures and all, but I never imagined it to be this small.
Pros: -Tiny -2 GB -Drag N Drop file transfer Cons: -Buttons are VERY small. -Random beeps and clicks when on; an audible beep while playback. You may not notice this, but this was very audible through my Etymotic ER-6i's. -Hard to control Tip: To go back to the main menu, press the BACK button. -Won't retain SRS settings Tip on this problem: To activate SRS, go to SRS Focus and toggle to the middle bubble, then back to high. You'll see the sound suddenly change. -Problems with VBR. Can't fast forward properly with VBR. Tip on this problem: Don't use VBR. Overall, this is an incredible product. Sound is much fuller and rich than my iPod Nano, because of SRS WOW. Some things I think can be improved are the control buttons and the screen. The screen only takes up about 50% of the cube face, and I think the screen should take up the whole face. Same for the control circle.

MobiBlu Cube is a fine unit,
This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 2 GB Digital Audio Player Black (Electronics)
Yes, Id actually give it 4.5 stars.
its tiny and I listened to the FM tuner today at work and I could hardly believe how clear the reception was-- I was expecting average sound-- but instead was a clean rich sound. Battery life for MP3 playback is appprox. 7 hours-- so I wouldn't agree with the 10 hour ratings. However, the sound quality and 2gig of space makes this player worth it. No technology is perfect, but this is pretty good. The buttons are firm when pressed, and the menu while at first seems a challenge to navigate, the 2nd go around its easy. Its a fine quality build, and for 80$ cheeper than the nano-- why not! The nano has no radio either. Ive had it for 2 weeks, and so far I love it-- if anything changes I will update the post.

Nice alternative to iPod,
This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 2 GB Digital Audio Player Black (Electronics)
I bought the 2GB version recently. Nice product. Very simple to use. Good sound. Lots of extra bells and whistles that I might not use too often (e.g., voice recorder, clock, record radio, etc.) A major plus is that it will play any file type (or at least all the ones I have), unlike the iPod which only play certain file types. My one unexpected complaint is that even though it is a very small package, the "chunky" square shape makes it feel bigger than it really is. In some respects, a flatter device might seem smaller. Also, as many others have noted, the earphones stink. The sound is OK, but the "neck lanyard" set-up results in too many wires to get tangled, plus they keep falling out of my ears! Fortunately, the Mobiblu uses a standard headphone jack, so all the headphones from other devices will fit. Just plug in your favorite headphones and you're all set.

the shape is awesome you can never find an mp3 player like this the price is great it fits so many songs and real cool. i would defenuitely buy it again if i had to chose another mp3 player
their are 2 problems: 1. the headphones are like a collar so you always have to wear your cube on your neck becasue having a cube in your pocket is a little uncomfortable 2. the cube's music list when you axcess the menu cant be divided(ex. artists, album, genre) it just one big list in alphabeticla order. so if whant a song by the authors name and you dont know the song name then you cant find it

Love it, but have some questions....,
By
This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 2 GB Digital Audio Player Black (Electronics)
First, my question: I have downloaded quite a few songs from Walmart, and they won't play on my player. I think it has something to do with the licensing of the songs from Walmart, or something. Even when I play them on my computer, it takes a little while for them to load as they check for a license or something. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong, or how to fix it?
Other than that, the player is great. It's small, stylish, and has pretty good sound. The earbud wires are a little short for the arm band I use it with, but other than that, I like it. Battery life is excellent, and there are plenty of features packed into such a small player. I use it at the track and gym, and it has gotten plenty sweaty and worked just fine. It's also easy to read at night when I'm out walking. I'd recommend it. I had an Ipod, which I also liked, but it broke. This has been a more than adequate replacement.

NO customer service from MobiBlu - BEWARE,
By TBR "tbr" (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: mobiBLU Cube DAH-1500i 2 GB Digital Audio Player Black (Electronics)
Admittedly, the player is extremely small and fairly easy to use - no complaints there, but about after 6 months of moderate use, the unit died. I tried to contact Mobiblu customer service, but due to "High Call Volume" all you can do is leave a message and the will get back to you "at their earliest convenience!!!" So far its been about a dozen messages and over a month, and it hasn't been 'convenient' for them yet. If you dont believe me, try calling Mobiblu customer service yourself, and see how you fare. 1-888-283-2580 All I can say is BUYER BEWARE, and this is the last Mobiblu product I or any of my friends will ever buy.

The Perfect MP3,
By Joy (Virginia) - See all my reviews -And Im very happy with it. The songs are, free, it holds 2 gigs, smaller than iPod, and cheaper. I've had no issues. It's easy to use, and it's very durable. The the headphones that come with it are superb. The sound quality is top-notch. It charges lightening fast and lasts a longer than 5 minutes ^ more like several hours. Excellent product. I hate iPods. They break easily, and Apple rips you off by charging you x amount per song. |
