This review is from: A monograph of the William K. Vanderbilt house,: Richard Morris Hunt, architect,
I have a keen interest in the Vanderbilt's and their houses. I especially wanted this book to add to my collection. It's such a shame that these mansions or works of art were torn down. I'm glad they took pictures, the details of this house were amazing.

This is nothing more than one of the worst facsimilie editions I've ever seen in my life - this one of the 1925 original edition. It appears this edition was simply photo copied from an original copy - and badly. My particular copy looks like the toner cartridge needed replacing. Floor plans are completely illegible. All this for the magnificent price! The cover, as shown here, is the only aspect of this production even approaching quality.
