This actually doubles the battery life on my ipod. I also have a 4AAA battery charger and the Mophie Juice Pack is much better because it is actually a case. My 4AAA battery charger hangs from the bottom of my ipod, that is a little annoying. Also the Juice pack has lights that let you know how much charge is left, my other charger does not have any warning lights. But my other charger works with all of my ipods, the Mophie Pack only works with my touch.

This external battery pack for the iPod touch works terrifically and meets my expectations well. I would say between the pack and the iPod's own internal battery I get about 5 hours out of a total charge which, to me, is pretty good. I do tend to use a lot of graphic/game apps on my iPod so I drain the battery quickly.

As you know battery life expectations are always exaggerated, but this pack has been very useful and has led to less charge time for my iPod. And that is a good thing.

Mophie Rocks... Does what it's supposed to do very well. Good quality unit. Actually lighter weight than I expected. Like the charging lights on the back letting you know exactly how much it is charged. What I really like is that it charges the phone so that I can then disconnect the phone for use.

Pros: Nice soft-touch rubberized surface, easy to hold in portrait and landscape orientations. Convenient charge level LED indicator. Lots of juice--lasted a 6 hour flight of music, games and video usage. Tight grip on iPod.

Cons: Need to charge via USB (from computer only?). No supplied AC adaptor.

I just received this unit. I charged it up with no problem. However, I could not fit the ipod onto the connector pin. It was out of line. Bad design or engineering or manufacturing defect, but it didn't fit. I tried to move the connectors to no avail. I tried trimming the sides to make it fit. Didn't work. A waste of money.

My first generation ipod touch was running out of battery after about an hour of use. I looked into replacing the battery but the cost and difficulty of installing a good battery did not weigh out against the danger of breaking a working device. And paying for an installation was also cost prohibitive. In comes the mophie juice pack, increasing my battery life 6 fold at a great price and no danger of breaking the touch. 5 stars.

Amazing product it does exactly what it is supposed to do! I put it through it's paces playing Hi-Def video on the highest brightness for hours without even making a dent in the battery life! LOVE IT!!! Plus everyone thinks it is an iphone lol

makes a great xtra batt, adds many hours to your Ipods charge BUT it charges best separately from the Ipod instead of connected to it oddly the cosmetics were not perfect as the color finish was slightly uneven when it came from the factory (package was factory sealed)
