Pros:

Works as advertised. Greatly increases battery life.

Some of the early previews complained about the lack of polish on the case - generally it had an inconsistent build quality. The production version is slick and smooth - very appealing to view and the iPhone fits very snugly within the case. It actually makes it more comfortable to use the phone on an extended basis.

There's a very handy LED battery level indicator on the rear of the unit.

Cons:

Adds considerable weight and thickness to the iPhone, but hey, what extended battery doesn't?

Biggest con for some: Despite it having what appears to be a passthough sync port on the bottom, it won't actually sync with the PC. The iPhone needs to be removed from the case and plugged directly to the PC to sync up. Not a con for me since I sync maybe once a month. There might be an issue with the longevity of the case with the somewhat frequent removing of the phone - this needs testing.

Bottom line:

An attractive and very practical alternative to the dongle type battery extenders on the market. Fits the iPhone very snugly. Price should be reduced slightly, but at the moment, it has the market to itself as a take-it-with-you 'pocketable' battery extender.

It's everything as advertised. I utilize it whenever I am home or traveling on long trips. My only complaint is that the coating is starting to peel on the back 4 corners that make contact with the surface whenever I place it down.

I owned the Mophie Juice pack for 2.5 months now. It has never been dropped or mishandled. Overall this product does everything it was advertised to do, I am happy with it. Below is my in depth opinion of the product.

The good- The mophie juice pack does double the life of the iphones battery as claimed. Perfect for long on the road commutes/travel when a plug or charger is not available. You can watch an entire movie with no worries of battery life. On the back it has four lights with a press of a button you can see how much juice the battery pack has left before the iphone's battery will take over. The sides have a grey non-slip rubber piece which is great for grip.

The bad- The Mophie doubles the size of your Iphone. It is bulky, it is double in width and also adds about a half an inch in length to the iphone. It can be recharged with the oem charger, but the third party car charger i have doesnt have any effect on the Mophie.


The ugly- It has this ugly neon type green inside covering. The outter shell peels away over time (i have had the Mophie for 2.5 months). I guess this is the coating used to make it non-slip, which in time will result in a slippery plastic device.

This is a must have add on for your Iphone. When you use it, the Iphone battery is not drained, it is as if the phone was plugged in to an outlet. Great for plane etc. Love it

Overall: would buy it again.

Pros:
* doubles battery life.
* compact and fits the iphone form factor.
* charges along with the iphone at night.
* works as advertised.

Cons:
* only for 2G iphone
* cannot use the Mophie connector to synch through.
* Mophie will not charge with some old accessories such as a Griffin car connector but will charge with any car connector which uses the USB cord.
* does get a bit warm in use.

I have a 3G phone which is slightly larger than the 1G phone which makes getting the phone in and out of the mophie difficult. However it works like it is suppose to as long as you are willing to struggle getting the phone in and our of the mophie. I am very happy with it given these limitations.

This is a great product. Gives that extra charge when you forget to do it the night before...I don't know about most people, but I have to charge my iphone pretty much every night to ensure that I'm good to go for the entire next day....but sometimes I forget, which is when this mophie juice pack came in handy.It has as seampless design that you can plug your iphone on top of it. although it comes with the cables to charge the mophie, you can also use your iphone charger to charge it up (one less cable to keep track of)...but you do have to plug it in backwards which was a little wierd (when you plug, face the back of the mophie towards you.

The only other thing that might need improvement is the battery bulk on the bottom (which yes I know is the whole point), but maybe if it were smaller, so my iphone can stay slim and beautiful.

I love this item. My only complaint is that it beeps every so many minutes when attached to the iphone.

I received my juicepack within 5 days but it didn't work right. It made my iphone blink on and off incessantly. I called support and they requested I fax a proof of purchase. After that I couldn't get ahold of them at all. I tried for ten days and nobody returned my phonecalls or emails. I was despondent until finally I threatened to pepper the internet with negative posts regarding their product. I then got an email from the president of the company apologizing and informing me a new juicepack was in the mail. Sure enough, I got a new one that works great. I am happy with it and feel better about doing business with this manufacturer but I definitely think they need to beef up their support system.

I examined all the permutations & combinations offered in the Apple Store. Mophie was what I had in mind. Great product, provides ease of mind, does not bulk up or increase mass of the iPhone. Recharges through a USB cable to my computer or an AC outlet. Does link with iPod and vehicle recharge unit. Good solid feel, access to external buttons, including camera. Good LED indicator(s) for battery status. Even though case blocks speaker, still produces good sound quality. Has a green-red switch at bottom end for use-nonuse of Mophie battery. Cost is less at Apple Store compared to Amazon (both purchase price and no shipping charge). Easily put into and taken out of Mophie case, but remains secure. Travels well in center console of vehicle. A quality product.

Lacks external "soft" case for carrying on belt or shoulder strap.
