More About the Author
How did I know I wanted to be "a writer"? Years ago, I entered a short story contest sponsored by Redbook. I didn't win anything but a "thanks but no thanks" letter from Redbook - and admittedly, in retrospect, it was a really, really bad story. Nevertheless, I had been terminally bitten and claimed the identity of "writer," which I would not be able to shake, no matter how much writer's block camped out on my doorstep. Being a writer gets in your blood and you're never quite free of it, no matter how long you live in denial. You think in narrative, edit billboards and grocery store signs, and eavesdrop on conversations for character fuel.
Having written a lot of poetry and articles, plus a half-dozen novel manuscripts still to find daylight, recent years have seen my writing take a more inspirational and motivational angle, evidenced by the majority of titles listed here. The "novels," with their unbirthed cousins, are still there and may be resurrected someday, but in the meantime, I pursue my personal mission to write to inspire and encourage others.
