I really, really love this book. I think all students should be required to read this to learn more about Judaism. The lives of these two boys are fascinating. I have come to better understand the Jewish religion, customs, sects, and overall culture by Chaim Potok's writings.

Marvelous book,
This review is from: My name is Asher Lev (Paperback)
This is one of my all-time favorite books. Beautifully written, about an Orthodox Jewish boy with a genius gift for painting. Only problem is, when you're a genious painter, you must enter the world of Christian art involving crucifixions, Madonna, and Jesus.
The book involves his torment as he is torn between his two worlds. Fascinating reading. Potok is a wonderful writer. No Child Left Behind? The True Story of a Teacher's Quest

I was informed immediately by the vendor of the expected arrival time. While I was a little impatient for want of going on to the next Chaim Potok book (I read all my authors from first book written to last,) it did arrive within the time frame given, and the book was in the promised condition. I would certainly shop here again.
