Do you need to buy anything besides the disc for multiplayer?

My son plays with his friends online with his PC version. If we buy the Xbox 360 version and the piece that lets the Xbox connect to our wireless home network, can he then play online? Or do we have to keep buying Xbox live points so he can play online?

from what I read you will need an HDTV and an HDMI cable, for what reasons I have no idea. so if you have a HDTV then good you don't have to worry much about spending too much money for this whole multiplayer thing. so basically you first guess was wrong you don't need to spend any live points to play multiplayer though you can do that with up to eight players, the split screen is up to four players. Again it requires a HDTV, don't ask me why there was never a solid answer to that.

Playing multiplayer on Xbox Live does not require infusions of MS points. It does require a Gold Xbox Live account, however. That will run about $60 for a year, unless you find a discounts.
