How easy is it to have two networks (e.g. one being a guest network)? If it can be done, can both of them have their range extended by the RE1000?

Hi.
Yes, it can be done. Using the RE1000 though, you may only extend the N & B/G wireless signals, and not the wireless AC signal. Please follow this link for more information on the RE1000 range expander, http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/rangeexpanders/re1000
