This review is from: A new health era: By William Howard Hay
When reading this classic book of the 1930's one could be confused that much of it may also be of the current day. It kind of lets you know far we have come in Health and Medicine - not far at all.( i am writing this in 2010)
Dr William Howard Hay developed brights disease, a form of Kidney disease , and had to move towards alternative methods to cure himself. His own orthadox field of medicine was of little or no help. Hay was a New York Medical Doctor and surgeon, and is more than comfortable at times throughout the book undermining his own profession, including stating that the medical profession has no purpose in the prevention or the cause of disease, but only in the treatment of it.
This book is ideal for medical students and the laymen to learn about how disease manifests through high acidic intoxication instead of an alkaline or base forming model of digestive health.
Hay was a strong researcher in the discovery and crucial understanding of proper food combining for Human Health.
This is one of my favourite all time books. Only recently over the last few years have i learnt to understand the importance of Acid/ alkaline balance along with other crucial areas in Human Health and Function - crucial areas i am involved in my own specialist research and practical work; most of which are still not covered in current academic studies or courses in the conventional medium. This is a specialist area of study.
If there was one historical book on Health management to buy this would be one of them for sure.
