HDMI never did work on my MacBook air™.

The old monitor fit into the adapter good, but then the Thunderbolt input wasn't made correct and was too lose, not really plugging into iMac to make full connection.

crap that somehow still works

This is literally a piece of crap but it's cheap and has three useful connections, so if you really need it dirt cheap, go right ahead and get it. But again, it's absolute crap. The metal sheath on the female displayport detatched after a day of use and is now part of the male displayport cable that goes to my display (I guess they're in love). Still gets the picture where it needs to go though.

Works but HDMI doesn't seem to support audio

Bought this product, b/c it has support for both DVI and HDMI... extra DisplayPort doesn't hurt, although I haven't had to use it. Overall for the price it does a good job. Somewhat sturdy plastic piece that holds up so far (have had this product for only a month - and used over 10 times already). The only CON I have with this is that HDMI Audio is not supported. When I connect my PC laptop to my 1080p HD LCD tv with a plain HDMI cable, audio gets transferred to my tv as I run a movie off of the laptop. However, when I use this product to connect my Mac Book Pro 2012 to my HD LCD tv - audio can only be heard from my MBP, nothing from the tv. I guess you get what you pay for. Other than that the visuals are fine.

Google "apple display port knowledge base" and select the result titled: "About Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapters - Apple Support". This is from the APPLE website...apparently, Amazon doesn't like it when I try to post links in this review.

I would have given this product a 2 star rating, but since it does do the job with connecting my MBP to a larger LCD display - it does half the job hence it's just an OK product, but not meant for large tv movie watching unless you are the only audience and you wear headphones for audio (connected to your MBP).

Does Not Work

I really only need to put my macbook screen up to present a few times a year. Bought this and threw it in my computer back without testing. Two months later tried to use it and it was non operational. So I either received a lemon or it broke from 2 months of being carried in a computer bag. Either way, not good and it's too late for a return.

Works well, but a little too bulky

It does its job as a adapter, but because of its size it gets a little clunky. If you have some of the ports at right angles to the cable it also is more troublesome to keep attached to your laptop. I wouldn't recommend it for frequent use, but I mainly carry it around for flexibility and use a separate Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter for the common case where you need to use a projector.

Does what it says, but no audio.

If all you want is a display adapter, then this adapter works perfectly fine. If you want audio along with your HDMI picture, buy something else.

HDMI works fine adapter is ok and recommended

VDA port doesn't work otherwise adapter is very good especially for the price. I use the adapter when traveling and connect to my MacBook Air.
