Though this is an attractive basket, it will not stay together. It claims to be able to hold up to ten pounds, but mine has broken with only a few tomatoes in it. The first time it broke, a link on the chain had come open. I fixed the link and re-hung the basket. That happened twice more and I fixed it the same way.

If it stayed together it would be very functional.

I'm going to go to the hardware store and see if I can find any chain that will fit it. If that doesn't work, it's going in the trash.

Broke the first time I used it......Too bad..Not made well....I only put a couple of lbs of fruit.

The chain connecting one of the baskets broke with just two bananas in there! Very disappointed

I put just a few things in the baskets and it fell apart. To be specific I put the following: two heads of garlic, two onions, two tomatoes and that's it. Buy this if i you plan on only putting very light items in the basket.

I only paid $13 for this hanging wire fruit basket. It does the job that it was made for but is very cheap and plain.

Came within a week of ordering & hung it up right away. Have apples & bananas in it & seems very sturdy.

Great hanging wire basket set. Top basket for garlic, middle basket for acorns, bottom basket for onions. Looks good too. Quite happy and satisfied with this purchase from Amazon.

This item arrived quickly and in good shape. I needed to adjust the chains to level out the baskets, but it was easy. I'm only storing 6 - 10 pieces of fruit in it, so it appears to be more than durable enough. If you plan to load it down with stuff, you can buy heavier chain at the hardware store and replace that part (it would be simple to do). This was worth the purchase.
