Why are some of the free books not available for us in Australia. If they are free, what difference does it make where it is read.

R van Erkel says:
it is not just Australia and not only free books that are not available universally. More than once I find interesting titles but then, when I want to buy it, it says 'not available in your part of the world'. I realise it is a copyright issue, but it would be appreciated if availability was indicated first off and not when ordering, would save me a lot of time. It is my first (but recurring) disappointing experience with Amazon.

I agree with you that it should be indicated near the title or somewhere prominent BEFORE we go to all that trouble.

Some good old titles too. As in my original post - if the title is an old one, then why not make it available to all. Thanks for your posting.
