Only 2.5 inch SATA hard drives will work in your notebook. Western Digital does make this drive in a 2.5 inch version. The Amazon link is: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500 GB SATA III 7200 RPM 16 MB Cache Bulk/OEM Desktop Hard Drive - WD5000AAKX

Hi AG, this drive is desktop size (3.5 inch) - the notebooks use the 2.5 inch size. If you can get by with less storage capacity try to get a solid state (SSD) drive.

Notebooks uses 2.5" drives, this is a 3.5" and will not fit. You can find same brand but 2.5" that should work. Of course you can get an external HD case that support SATA drives and use it as an external drive for backup or for external video and music storage.

No. This hard drive is A 3.5" model, which is made for desktop computers. A 2.5" hard drive would be what you are looking for for any mobile product.

I have to say no and I wouldn't take the chance of buying something that will not physically fit. Laptops and notebooks use a 2&1/2" drive not the WD 3&1/2"

no. it is a desktop drive. it is physically much larger than a notebook or laptop drive. it has 3.5 inch platters, and a notebook drive has 2.5 inch platters.
